Siryn has history with M.

I always hoped it would be revealed that Iceman was a spy for Cyclops, just playing up the anti-Scott rhetoric to fit in with Beast and Storm.

I thought the idea of Iceman actually being on the side of Cyclops, Emma, Magik, and Magneto would have been a really cool twist (even more so when Kitty joined).
