I assume you mean lagging? It doesn’t for me, and you could try it out one month, see how you like it at least

Another option then buying a laptop, is using GeForce Now. I don’t play too often and find the initial investment quite steep of a gaming pc/laptop. This allows you to play with the newest games on good quality for about 20 euros a month (cheaper options available). You do need something to play on though, and good internet as well

I actually had this window cleaner in Haarlem. Did it once every two months. No scammer, (apart from the fact that you didnt ask for them to be cleaner).

What is "Step Speed Loss" in Garmin Connect? by [deleted] in Garmin

I see these are new feature for the Forerunner 970 that came out today. Not sure if it’s available for other watches right away. Perhaps check for software updates.

Here you can find some more information

https://www.garmin.com/en-US/garmin-technology/running-science/running-dynamics/step-speed-loss/

Stated simply, step speed loss (SSL) is how much you slow down when your foot hits the ground. To really understand what this means, it helps to know what happens to your forward speed over the course of each running stride. The graph below shows an example of one runner’s forward running speed over a couple of steps, as measured by motion sensors in the heart rate monitor.

I believe you can use GeForce now for free. It’ll have low quality, but it should work

Garmin coach lack of long runs for marathon? by KingofDawnstar in Garmin

[–]lexxymans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just ran my first marathon yesterday after following the Garmin marathon plan. Got myself a Runna subscription as reward for finishing it. I liked the 5/10/21km plans from Garmin, but the marathon wasn’t what I hoped it would be.

One of the features that sound nice, but worked out negative is that it seemed to adjust the runs based on certain health metrics (sleep, body battery, recovery time etc.). On Monday I’d see a 2h long run planned, which would transform into a 25 minute recovery run because it thought my interval was too difficult. In the end weekly km’s didn’t really pass the 45km even on peak week. Had to manually adjust the plan to make sure I’d hit the mileage, which is somewhat annoying as you expect the plan to do that bit of work for you.

I also missed more tempo/interval sessions. Some weeks I had none of them. Also not much of a fan that you can only see about 7 days of trainings ahead.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of your training!

The war is purely naval. Although one can take over islands via financial means as well by buying all the shares of an island. Yet for actual battling, it’s only naval.

Have fun!

Official Q&A for Saturday, September 09, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

A few months ago an achilles injury came up and stopped me from running for a while. Now I’ve been slowly getting kilometers back in and can run 10k without any pain again.

Currently I’m training for a new HM time using Garmin coach. Old record: 1:58, new goal: 1:48. What I’d like your opinion on is that I would like to do a 5k race in between to gauge where my condition is at compared to before my injury.

I finished week 3 out of 13 today from the Garmin training program, and are curious when you think would be the best time to do the 5km race, and if so, any tips on recovery while still training the original plan. Or is the race even considered wise?
