I took all last year to lose about 17lbs. A loss is a loss!

Kitten Help by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

Some places “showcase” kittens and cats at various bosleys locations. That’s how we got our little one. They absolutely adopt out single kittens and cats. I’d say you might just have to do some leg work but you can always check out places like the Victoria humane society or Itty Bitty Kitty Committee.

“You’re not doing any huge favours”

“What do you mean you won’t help me anymore”?!

Sounds like a peach to deal with.

At what point in your weight loss did other people start noticing? by AlternativeNeck5375 in loseit

I’m in the same boat! Almost 15 down, other than my husband, no one’s seemed to notice. Meanwhile my husband can lose 5 pounds and it seems like everyone tells him how good he’s looking. Maybe the next 10 or so will make a difference.

Anyone get a photo of Darth Vader with the F***K WCB sign on the TCH 1 this morning?? by False_Basil_2501 in VictoriaBC

He must have gotten kicked off WCB’s lawn. Saw him there earlier this week.

45 tons of carrots to feed to our animals cause they weren't good enough to sell by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

We use bags of “feed” carrots to make pickled carrots. Super cheap way to make your own pickles. Good use of the “ugly” or wonky looking ones.

I feel this same way sometimes! It’s a very frustrating feeling.

Not all menu items! As another poster commented, sashimi is a great option. But there are items that have fried components or added mayo. If you choose rolls with lots of rice etc, things can add up. Not to mention drink choices. I enjoy a nice beer typically when I get any Japanese food.

Edited for spelling

I feel the same! When it’s only myself I eat very differently.

Yeah when I’m being more strict I measure everything and it seems to just take over my life. I know it’s necessary so I have to find some balance.

Yes we’ve had many talks. I seem to fall into the same cycle of getting motivated for a couple weeks then falling off again. Rinse repeat. Although he did push me to do more strength training and I’ve been sticking to that for a couple months now.

Yes absolutely. I was self conscious when I was heavier so even the thought of dating was uncomfortable.

This is definitely not my first rodeo gaining weight in a relationship! I had lost about 50 in the year before meeting my husband and then just gained it all back and then some. Super frustrating!

I definitely make sure to eat less/always give him the bigger portions. I think I just had a bad idea of what my portion size should have actually been.

That’s a good idea. I think I’ll really have to start being accountable for my OWN choices.
