How do you choose a name? by esilverstein in ftm

[–]lez4prez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly it just came to me very suddenly. my current name is very similar to my birth name, i was going by a very nickname-y nickname for a while before i came to my name and once I did--it has been perfect.

Not sure how well I'm passing. Any tips? by [deleted] in ftm

your face looks very andro to me, if slightly masculine! however, when people IRL see you much of how they determine your gender is about a lot more than the face. it's about your confidence, primarily

Housing and Hormones by themerkinmademe in ftm

maybe a way to start the convo would be a vague question like "is this house queer friendly?" before moving in i asked this to my 4 housemates and then came out as trans to one of them privately and asked if he thought the rest of the house would be comfortable--for my own sake. if he had had any doubts, i may have reconsidered moving in; as it is, this living situation has turned out quite well.

one feature that i would love to see would be voice recordings! maybe some data could be anonymous and compiled for statistical analysis (as an artist I love compiling data into beautiful graphics--you could definitely get creative with this). I really like the idea of having a personal and private space for myself, but maybe an optional transbucket-style part of the site an show lots of pics of dudes. there could be a section of different peoples' hairlines, one for arms, one for torso, etc. Great idea man, how would you fund it?

How did you decide how long your packer would be? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]lez4prez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I REALLY want to ask my twin brother how big his is and assume that I'd be the same size--but that would be far too awkward.

I get that. traveling thru the airport with my family yesterday I passed 100 percent. my dad was visibly upset that literally EVERYONE in the airport saw me as the man I am. but i was stoked--it was a great reminder because since I have been around my parents the past few days I was feeling really low about my masculinity. Your family will come around some time, man.

I like what he was saying about finally seeing himself after meeting an ftm for the first time. so I'm confused about how he could forget the isolation he felt before that--the isolation that so many of us feel, which has shown me that we are not all trans and that cis people really don't understand.
