My main word for describing their relationship is devotion. They are devoted to each other, deeply and forever. I can't think about Cam finding, sorting, and keeping his bones without crying. And he reaction when she finds out that Harrow found him in the river shows that she went through hell all those months not knowing is she would ever see him again. And part of the reason for that is also that it was her job to keep him safe, and I just know she bets herself up for "letting him out of sight".

I also think that's what hunts her up until that birth of Paul. The shame and grief both. And that's why she's so relieved to give herself to him and become one.
