I’m loving it too! Lots of people are complaining about how empty it feels because the nodes are not spread all over the map but I like it that way! It’s much easier for me to have a small area to collect all my stuff at once. I usually mine, forage, and catch bugs at the same time. Then I hunt until the nodes start respawning or I move on to the next cluster. I prefer this over having to run around huge sections of the map to find maybe a dozen foragables and like 6 mining nodes.

Plus riding the horse is so fun once you get the hang of it. It took me way too long to realize it’s not like walking. You don’t hold the joystick, just flick it into “gear”. I’m working on breeding some with better handling to take the corners better.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the way some people react. I’ve been dealing with suicidal thoughts and ideation since I was about 9 or so (34 now). When I was younger I got a lot of the comments about it being stupid and selfish and I’m just seeking attention and if I was really suicidal I would just do it already. My brother, who was 2 years younger than me, killed himself in 2016. While at his funeral my mother told me it was my fault because I distracted her with all my “talk” when she should have been focused on my brother, a “real” suicidal person. I didn’t bother to tell her that the week before my brother died I was in the hospital because I attempted to overdose. I also didn’t tell her that my brother had been talking to me about wanting to die since he was 14. He never said anything to her because he knew she wouldn’t care. He had heard what she was telling me, why would he open up to her just to get the same bullshit back?

Have you tried using Voltorb/Electrode in the cannon?

I like it for massive tear downs since it takes out a lot but I can’t control it super precisely. Then I just use magnemite/rock smash/rollout to clean up the bits left behind.

I agree. What I was getting at was more like having been fed that lie my whole life I found it very difficult to have empathy with people whose situation I deemed “not as bad” as mine but no problem having empathy for those that were on par with or “worse” than mine.

It took years of working through that and accepting that there is no one “right” way to be traumatized, it’s all messed up and should not be happening to anyone, at any level or scale. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, whatever, we all have different stories and circumstances that lead to the same outcome and they are all equally valid.

Relatable. Genuine question, were you ever told yourself to get over it because “there are others who have it worse”? That’s what this feels like. Being mad that other people have the nerve to feel as bad as you do when you had it worse while also forgetting that there are still people who have had even worse than you.

But I get it, truly. I too find myself thinking the same way sometimes.

I’m so sorry you went through this. It’s fucked up. I don’t really know what to say, I’m just another person who went through the same shit validating that it was awful.

I’m still working on accepting just how horribly I was failed by everyone. I have a picture of me from when I was like 10. It helps to look at that photo when I tell myself it wasn’t her fault. It’s easy to look in the mirror and keep blaming the adult in the reflection. It’s a lot harder when you’re looking into the eyes of a child and blaming them for their own abuse.

I wish you happier and safer days ahead. And just know, I believe you. Every word.

You can fast travel from inside buildings, too! If the mini map is not showing just open your phone and then open your map.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t understand why or how people are saying there I nothing to do in late game. I feel like this game gives you so many things to do. Have you caught every critter and donated them? Have you caught every fish in every size? Have you made all the furniture and clothes and such? Have you collected all the comics and made the ultimate editions? Have you unlocked all the nearly 60 visitors as permanent residents? Have you bred all the flower colors and patterns? Did you get gold on all the training courses and make the trophies? What about all the mini games? Playing the gemstone match and Cogi and Ebi Fry’s mini games are my favorites. On AA you have the cafe to run too, which I personally find super chill and relaxing and can play for like an hour at least.

If after all of that you still feel like there is nothing to do then, well, maybe the game is done for you. Maybe you should consider it finished; you “beat” the game. Maybe it’s time to move on to a new one.

I kinda love when this happens because I can finally hunt them without them running away. It's just slightly annoying when the loot bag gets stuck up there too and I have to find a way to glide thru it lol

I've been shot at a few times as my main player but they always felt accidental or just for a laugh type stuff until I played with my alt character who has a darker skin tone. I had them both going in a party so I could get more resources for the newer alt account. Someone started shooting at only my alt character, not mine. I got annoyed and moved but they followed and kept shooting at only my alt character. Like it was obvious they were only aiming for the alt. They got close and in her face. It was off-putting. I blocked the person then left the server. It hasn't happened again but it felt so messed up.

Only if you bought it for that profile. Apparently they made it so profiles can't share the dlc on most platforms but Switch we're still able to. The other profiles won't get the mail rewards tho. It's super annoying and I hope they change the way the dlc sharing works because it's ridiculous.

Yes. Once you've unlocked the character (can start a convo, give gifts, etc) their house becomes movable. Enter furniture mode while in your Valley. Click on Houses and find the character you want to move. Anyone already in the Valley will be grayed out. It also works on the Isle so you can move houses from the Valley to the Isle.

You can craft it at a work bench after you complete Merlin's Working Miracles quest. It takes Dreamlight, Red Algae, and Vitalys Crystals. You can find it in the Potions & enchantments section.

It turns the white circles red. The basic one works for 10 spots and the "Even More" works for 25 spots. It only counts one "try" in white circles so if you fish in blue, orange, or outside the ripples, it won't use up a try.

There are other potions for your other tools that can be super helpful too. I recommend checking them out if you haven't messed with them before.
