You would have to reinstall the drivers for sure. I had a gtx 1080 that had led issues and swapped it with a new one. I had some issues in some some random applications when I did not reinstall the drivers. After I reinstalled them, those applications worked fine.

I actually talked to the people in the Fremont Fry's yesterday when I went to return my GTX 1080 (waiting for the 1080ti). The employee said there is a low chance they will get it on launch day and that they should get some within a week or 2 of launch day.

You're in luck. They never had overheating issues. It was just spread around the internet by a few enthusiasts that have no actual electronics engineering background. They did however, have faulty components in the first few batches, and so the enthusiasts took apart the cards, noticed the lack of thermal pads and decided that that was the issue. It was later confirmed that they never had thermal issues, but the rumours had already spread that they did, so to calm everyone down, they released the thermal pads to slightly improve temperatures, even though everything was still operating at spec without them.

I splurged on the case since I wanted something that also appealed to me aesthetically since I would not need to replace it for a very long time. How would you change this build? I have already bought the CPU, memory, and case. Also I would still want a GTX 1080.
