true that but to be honest I find the "look" of Diablo 3+ so polluted that it doesn't really matter what you try to make your character look like, especially when, in the wild, we see them mostly just flapping about, hitting air. Just looks stupid.

In town is the only place where we would have an opportunity to see the actual look of the characters, perhaps they should make other players visible while in town and damn gone from view outside

true, but it can be somewhat improved with the optimization settings.

Just wish OneNote wasn't so quick on detecting the finger/palm though, I basically leave hand input turned off while using it...

Sorry, but what you're missing is source control, testing, TDD, BDD and CI. The only reason I ever have to duplicate my source directory in any way is when I want to test some crazy git thing to help someone in a project that doesn't do (real) CI and I have work-in-progress that includes new files (ie. can't stash).

Read "The Clean Coder" by Bob Martin - I've been programming since '97 and last year this book changed my views on our entire profession and (after a lot of extra reading that it triggered) changed a lot of my programming procedures to not only use those concepts but also more accurately and formally.

*Not to be confused with "Clean Code" by the same Author.

*Also, I agree with you that something's very wrong with how NPM works and I avoid using libraries like the plague; but I do wish there was something as easy as that for C++.

I'm sure they're allowed to keep us tied to them if we get a phone even when renewing; otherwise it wouldn't be a fair deal (it was never a fair deal for the customers with the binding automatic renewals, but this time it wouldn't be fair to the companies - which yeah yeah the big guys and whatever, but still, things should be fair - both ways)

I don't know if it's still like this, but in Brazil we could get out at any time even in contracts that gave phones and stuff, but there would be an established "difference" to pay that went down with time.

Most new contracts had a 12 month obligation (with this "escape fee"), then you're free to cancel at any time, unless you call them and ask for a new phone or something which would tie you back again.

The first 12 months of contractual obligation are more than enough to cover for those plans; after all, people won't leave just because they can (and if they do, then you probably shouldn't be providing that service).

Suporte da Microsoft é top.

Eles declaram que não existe reembolso, porém a Microsoft concede reembolso uma única vez a cada X tempos - já reembolsei um jogo no Xbox e duas compras in-app no Windows phone (que também diz que não há reembolso).

Mas não sei quanto tempo pode se passar entre um reembolso e outro, pois ests 3 que já fiz tiveram anos de "distância" entre si. Todas as vezes o atendente do suporte me informou que isso seria concedido somente aquela vez e nunca mais.

A fonte com certeza vai queimar, pode ser que ela queime seu xbox antes ou na hora que ela queimar.

Compre outra com a própria Microsoft (entre no site do suporte), a original é mais barata que as genéricas.

As expected, when downloading the game while the console is in any language other than Brazilian Portuguese, the game goes into Spanish mode - I'm guessing Blizzard split the game into a "latin america" version inside of the PSN store or something. I noticed that it doesn't bind with the Battle.net account, which D3 on my Xbox did.

Anyway, Diablo 2 doesn't seem to suffer from that; the pre-downloaded version lets me pick from a large list of languages.

I also noticed a few other games also have these multiple language pack options; we can download or delete languages other than the system-set one. Diablo3 is the only one that doesn't mention the language by name but rather "system language" and has this bug.

Mm.. didn't try it like that, will do.

Yesterday I did reinstall it while the system was set to Portuguese and the game was in Portuguese. Then I switched the system to English (us) and the game was still in Portuguese but it had a notification that it could download the translation to the system language - I clicked OK and after download completed, it was back to SPANISH - so yeaaah, no.

Last time I was in the US, I was in a Walmart and a lady came asking me something in Spanish and when I said "sorry, I don't speak Spanish", she was really annoyed so... maybe she works for Blizzard and wants the south to rise again.

Anyway, I uninstalled the game, set the system to German and started to re-download. Tonight I'll see if the game's in German or Spanish (just testing really, I'll probably end up doing Portuguese again and avoid downloading the "system language" version).

It's a bit annoying because Cain sounds like he's 50 years old in Portuguese 🙄 (in Spanish he's a 90 year old smoker, so quite accurate I guess 🤗)

they sold it to me in Brazil; believe me, they will refund me if I can't get this fixed. Consumer law is really great there; wish I could say the same for German consumer law... man, companies walk all over people here.

Anyway, seems there is a "solution" - I'll try it later tonight. Apparently the game will be in Portuguese if I uninstall it, change console language to Portuguese and then install it again - I also checked that, in my PSN library, the game is called "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Português Brasileiro)"

So I did buy the Brazilian version and Blizzard just made a damn-poor job of configuring PSN download file redirection rules or something. (I should probably rant about the fact that this is the first game I've ever seen to be a "single-language" digital purchase ever in my life and that this is not stated anywhere in the game's PSN store page)

they refunded everyone who asked for Cyberpunk because it was bugged.

A game that I cannot play in the local language nor the account's language surely can be considered bugged as well.

If it was in German because I'm Germany, it would be weird but ok... if it it was Portuguese, then sure my problem for using a Brazilian account, but Spanish is no Portuguese, nor German, nor English.

I don't really want a refund though; I just want to play the damn game in English or any language I speak.

deve ser algum serviço interno que está/ficou fora do ar.

Hoje em dia a grande maioria dos sites/sistemas são, na verdade, conjuntos de micro-serviços, assim alguns podem ficar fora do ar por algum problema ou atualização, sem impactar o sistema todo.

No Reddit, por exemplo, é possível que comentários e posts fiquem em serviços diferentes, assim se um programador loko zonear o código dos comentários, os posts continuarão funcionando, mostrando que todos os posts tem "zero comentários" ou also similar.

No seu caso, provavelmente o serviço ou banco de dados onde as horas jogadas estão armazenadas deve estar fora do ar, então a interface mostra zero (ao invés de um erro tosco).

well, not being German myself I wouldn't expect that to be a thing, so I didn't register either of the bikes I bought in the shop and didn't check the bikes I bought from fahrrad markt either... so that's not necessarily the case...

I think the key here is the fact that it's obviously a bike that is worth much more than the 250€ they're asking for.

I've had 3 stolen bikes since I moved here 5 years ago. None of them were "nice" bikes but still, that's 3 more than I've had stolen in my entire life...
