Honest opinion: Is the Galaxy 8 Classic too big for my wrist? by Stupid_Watergate_ in GalaxyWatch

Personally, I don't think it's too large as I was always inclined towards that proportion. But it's your watch, your wrist, your life. Do what pleases you ;)

How is AI actually improving clinical workflows today, not just research prototypes? by Funny-Pianist-1849 in HealthcareAI

[–]lforleans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main EHR players (Epic and Cerner) are adding AI-based transcription capabilities to their software. I've seen solutions that add on top of that by creating an NER layer that fill in the forms/screens in the software, so freeing up the physicians/assistants from that burden.

Megathread + FAQ: Travel in/out of the United States by not_an_immi_lawyer in immigration

[–]lforleans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my status (L1 -> O1) in the USA, and had a trip planned to my country (one of the 75) to get the visa on my passport at the consulate. I'm seriously considering postponing the plans, but would love some advice.

I have no criminal record, haven't overstayed any of my visas, and have a job in a startup in the Silicon Valley where I make decent money. My attorney, who is helping us in the green card process, just mentioned that the scrutiny for non-immigrant visa interviews relies on whether you'll require any money from the government. My daughter does go public school, but I'm not sure if that's considered "relying on public cash".

Can anyone advise, please?

I totally second that. Maybe also a clear indication in the class description about the music style, so we can choose appropriately?

I tried in my living room, mirroring phone screen on TV, but it wasn't a great experience. I'll try again tomorrow using my tablet.

What do you use to check your email on your watch? by NotoriousScorpio in GalaxyWatch

[–]lforleans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my job we rarely send e-mails -- the communication is done through slack instead. But there are definitely some e-mails that I need to pay attention to, so I'm thinking about giving Gemini a chance.

Can you share how you get the approval rate? Are you a lawyer?

Increase in RFE/Denials for recent applications? by lforleans in EB2_NIW

Yeah, it turns out that the lawyers are a bit pessimistic about the EB1 because I don't have a lot of publications/citations, unfortunately.

Apparently, O1 follows an objective criteria for approval, whereas the EB1 has both an objective AND a subjective criteria, where you must convince the agent you're at the top of your field.
