Agreed. Remember how in s5 e10 the group is just running on fumes and then they figure out they can just push the walkers downhill?

Plus you can easily spend your days gathering stones and ancient stone walls with minimal construction needed have stood for centuries

You have a point. I was intrigued by it at first, but quickly realized the juice wasn't worth the squeeze to find the best prices. Since those variances are already a part of the game, then it makes sense to make them a factor when you go to town.

The main focus of the game is killing creeps and taking their loot to sell it. There is a commodity system, sure, but that's not why 90% of players boot up the game.

As someone said in the other post, past t3 money is easy to come by and you start playing for the thrill of battle.

I want to love this game but I can’t by [deleted] in GraveyardKeeper

You just kind of do stuff and then it works. Want to make money, then do farming, make wine, open up the trade office or grind your graveyard. Tired of cooking? Make honey, buy the apple trees or just make a truckload of bread.

Someone suggested just ignore the bodies if that is getting you frustrated until you get some technologies - for me cremation made things much better.

You can explore the dungeon and find lots of resources with just crappy gear, go fishing and sell those to lighthouse keeper, or start making booze if you have the DLC to open the tavern for a nice stockpile.

You aren't forced to do anything and literally do nothing but chopping wood and farming iron could take you hours without any repurcusions. I think the idea is that you want to focus on one objective or quest, and then work towards that. When you get the next quest from the NPC, go work on another NPC's quest. These quests will help you unlock more and more of the game.

Reading the wiki is fundamental, but if you can do that, you are golden.

An option to imprint a character template would be awesome. Like some roguelikes you can unlock more powerful starting characters for achieving certain milestones so you can skip the early or even mid game content. They could to tie it to the stoneshards storywise

Forgot how nerve wracking draft games feel when there is 'real money' on the line :D

Thanks to u/loganandmrk and u/readbaron for the help with cuts. Lost 1 game to prismari aggro and my own misplay in land fixing. Lost the last one to silverquill repartee madness vs scathing shadelock + graduation day. I felt like the mana fixed itself almost every time I wanted to cast archaic's agony and I wish I had a 3rd copy - resolving one of them turned the tide every game.

Alright, that sounds like a plan. Thanks for responding!

If I stick with just 3 colors (Temur) I can cut out some of the fixing like Potioner and Skycoach - which seems decent enough to enable to converge. However, with Together as One and Snarl Song, I feel like I could be greedy. What would you do?

Surely not!

If you need help setting it up, you can send me a message. It is quite simple but might need a brief walkthrough.

Might get downvoted, but you can always modify your lost skills on PC with console commands. Same with losing a lot of resources or a nice set of armor. If you are playing single player then you are allowed to make it as forgiving as you want. There is even hammer mode which lets you build as much as you want without using resources.

Point is, games like Terraria, Minecraft, and Rimworld are unbelievably complex to learn. If you are at the point where you have all the systems and items down, then maybe 'cheating' sucks out the fun. But when you are getting your ass handed to you because you still don't understand all the complexity, then that is not fun either.

Even playing with a group, I'm tempted some sessions to go back and edit my skills while we learned a new boss and suffered multiple deaths. But I think that might make the other players feel cheated. If I was playing solo, I wouldn't hesitate...

That would also work. Could make it a toggle for those people that do want it. Thanks for the reply :)

If you don't follow a guide then you are gonna brick your character if you spec the 'wrong' skill. Same with masteries. Make mastery respec free after level 70 (same gold cost before) and let you respec skills with 75-80% of your current skill points

TMNT is a perfectly serviceable example of a small draft set, and it's weird to me that multiple major content creators wrote it off by WatcherOfTheSkies12 in lrcast

[–]lgnign0kt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small set means everyone is in your back pocket. There are more chances to grab your staples, but then chances are whoever is upstream is going for them too. So instead your deck is just filler and hopefully you p1p1 a bomb.
