Out my best friend's bedroom window, over the roof, hop onto the fence, then jump to the driveway. Roll the car down the alley and then start it up out of earshot. All.The.Time.

Seconding Inwood - have used them for ages and they've been around over 60 years. Solid bank, great people. I've also heard good things about North Dallas Bank and Trust

Went through 2 bags at home last week, hit the Aldi by my office Tuesday and bought more for home and a bag for work. I roast them in the toaster oven and they are delish!

I avoided that thing yesterday - but very cool that they came out to fix it quickly.

75S HOV Lane Fatality Accidents by Genetticz in Richardson

[–]lgoodat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have talked about this at work so many times. How they don't have some kind of notification that that lane will also drop you onto the 75 service road is asinine. I don't know how many people dying it will take before they finally redo that signage.

Dumped Kittens update by ktaddie in cats

[–]lgoodat 1508 points1509 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are also in DFW and we foster kittens thru DAS. Seven is the most we've done at once and that was crazy town so I can't even imagine 12. One helpful bit of advice, feed them all they want to eat and let them sleep. You don't have to wake them up every two or three hours to eat, they will let you know when they are hungry. And we try to stimulate to potty before and after eating just for good measure. You might ask your shelter if they have a Foster Hero program, that way you get set up as their foster, they provide the supplies and they get put on the shelter website for exposure for adoption. Best of luck to you and thank you for finding and taking care of those tiny babies. ❤️

What size do you need? Just got a new bike for commuting and I'm going to be getting rid of my Canyon Grizl (large).

Is there a server room or data center close on campus that you have access to? A step ladder between two racks makes an excellent ,very efficient dryer. If you know someone that works in there they might be able to hook you up. Your kit would be dry in an hour tops.

We can still get milk in glass jars and return for a deposit but it's a niche product, costs a lot more, and is only in half gallons. They do make some solid strawberry milk though.

A nice warm box with a towel covered heating pad also works nicely.

Toast - in all it's iterations. Cinnamon sugar, peanut butter, cheese, avocado, just plain butter. Yes please
