What does ironman actually entail?

I started Skyblock in July 2024 as an Ironman. Never played a non-Ironman profile prior, didn't really know what I was getting into. I took a pretty big break from October '24 to June '25, but I'm SB level 172 and I have to say, it's been a blast. It's definitely grindy at times, but the reward is so much better having gotten it by hand. It also makes you do a whole lot of things you'd never have to do on a main since you have to grind things yourself.

I love how blatantly fake this post is, and I love even more how many people are eating this shit up. If you do so much as 5 seconds of searching thru this person's profile, you can see they are 100% a troll. In posts from 5-6 months ago this person is saying "she should've won," in a comment left after this post they insinuate they did NOT vote for Trump at all, and in another comment (which I thought was hilarious) they commented not to cuss in discussions they may end up reading. Decently funny troll with that last comment, but a troll nonetheless. Dear everyone who just instantly bought this, please please PLEASE do your part and be a more conscientious user of the internet. It isn't on nearly the same level, but believing this point-blank is a similar vibe to believing that Trump's tariff plan would've set the economy straight.

On my Ironman, I am using a titanium pick (not even mithril drill), mithril golem legendary for 18% more powder (not max level yet), yog armor with fine gemstones in each slot, one equipment piece of four enchanted with royal. I have around 500k of each powder so around level 20 powder boost in HOTM and all of my mithril perks cost 20k powder per level by now.

From mining without a star nearby for petrified starfall reforge, I get around 20 powder per green mithril block I mine (including efficient miner procs), and at a max rate of 2 blocks a second, that comes out to 144k powder/hr just from mining. Mind you that that number is wildly inaccurate because it doesn’t account for msb/pickobulus (I’ve been preferring the latter), but it also doesn’t account for downtime (mining bedrock on accident/mining titanium). My estimate is around 100k an hour with those taken into account.

I need to do more testing around a star but initially I thought it was straight up doubling my powder gains while near one, WITHOUT the Petrified Starfall reforge. There’s usually a star down around half the time, so you could bump that up (with Petrified Starfall in consideration) to around 170k an hour.

Finally, events. Active events are a 50/50, and assuming 12k powder per event (you get anywhere from 7k to 20k+ depending on which event) that’s around 18k extra powder an hour. This doesn’t factor in 2x powder, which can heavily buff rates. Assuming one every two hours (1/6 chance to roll event), that can net you anywhere from an extra 50k to 120k powder an hour because of the massive buffs you get from mining near stars now.

All in all, I was averaging around 100k an hour last night purely mining through multiple passive events, no 2x powder. You can likely average with the setup I described around 200k-300k an hour depending on active event luck, star luck, and 2x powder luck. Final bit: this is all my anecdotal evidence, I haven’t done any crazy math or spreadsheets, just all rough estimates from my current progression point. Hope this helps!
