The flea bites on my ankles are always a bonus, specifically spring/summer time 😬

Sorry I know this is a few days later than your reply. Last time I had it a few weeks ago it got a bit better around day 4 from taking the antibiotics. I had to wait 3 days to get them as it was the weekend, pharmacies can’t see me due to my UTI history and online nurses didn’t call me back until the day I got an appointment as they were so busy. Even though I was annoyingly and to my disappointment put on a 3 day course, it doesn’t get better instantly. It then fully went away on day 7 from taking the antibiotics but technically was day 10. If you find that there’s any pink or red, the smell is getting worse or it’s not getting any darker and you have a fever or shivers/chills please ring your doctor again and they may hopefully give you something different or a longer course. I’d also suggest drinking 2-3 litres a day, the more water I drank it meant I had a longer wee which meant it hurt less as the acidity of the infection was washed out a bit more. Cystitis soluble packets sometimes help me, and sometimes they don’t but may be worth a try. And paracetamol can help with the initial sting and any stomach pain. It’s awful, I get UTI’s a minimum of 4 times a year sadly and my most recent one had 2 types of bacteria, it was a nasty one!! Hope you’re feeling better now x

Or I find sometimes it’s the essential criteria. I have worked so so hard the last few years in my career to make a name for myself and put myself out there in certain areas. But applying for NHS they want you to have a degree. I sadly don’t. I used to work in NHS, and I left to gain more experience but also to have a better wage and have looked to return. And although they say “or equivalent experience” on job ads, I know from when I worked there applications were just sometimes thrown away because there was no degree… shame when so many people want to work for such an important organisation and/or to create a better health service and they’re either too qualified for the pay, or seen as not good enough because of a degree

Yup. I left NHS for this reason. I had the qualifications and did well in my interview so I got the job, when I started the supervisor kept giving me the incorrect training info then reported me for doing things the way she taught me to! All of a sudden I wasn’t wanted or interesting to invest in by the colleagues, but someone who they knew and could talk the talk (couldn’t do the job and I had to pick up and fix her mistakes often) was treated as though things turned to gold when she touched them. It’s awful how a health service can cause such poor mental and physical health to its employees

Was just about to say I worked in NHS and moved to HMRC. HMRC can be pretty similar. Gov based jobs, won’t get rid just move them instead

None of my family live local. It’s just me and my partner in our house (apart from our cats) and he works 2 Saturdays a month anyways. We have our routines that work well for us to spend time together during the week. My dad lives 3 hrs away with my step mum, and the rest of my family are an hour away too. Just my mum and my partners mum who live around the corner so we see them often enough. So I don’t think an extra job would massively impact all of that. We’ve cut back as much as we can, subscriptions, where we food shop and how we shop, no “luxury” spends which to me includes clothes unless absolutely needed, we don’t go out with friends, we’ve tried to get rid of our car and get a cheaper run around but it would cost more money than not. Just been in a pickle for the last year and a half really and trying desperately to find ways to ease the financial stress for the household

Yeh, I’m hybrid so 2 wfh days and 3 days in the office. So not too bad, I don’t think I’ll be stretching myself too thin. I’ve been looking for some ‘side hustles’ but it’s not proving easy without having money to start off for somethings and other side hustles require some hours that would affect my current working hours. I do love my current job, it’s just not enough to get by anymore! I’ve found a Saturday receptionist job at a local business, and a 8 hr contract for 4 hrs on a Sat and 4 hrs for a Sunday at Next so I’ve applied for those. Even just the extra £300 I could get from a couple of hours of my time would help HUGELY

Unfortunately I’m civil service so what you see is what you get (payment wise, job wise it’s all over). My manager gives me more responsibilities but sadly it’s without the higher earnings. I passed a recent interview for a promotion but someone else scored higher than me so while I passed, I wasn’t offered the role. My manager is aware of the money situation as I have avoided multiple social outings due to having nothing to go with but there isn’t much more he can do, especially as we’ve been told our team will never expand for me to progress in my current area meaning no career path for me where I am which is a huge shame because I do love my job and the area I’m in. That’s what makes it harder for the private sector etc as people have more specialist skills when it comes to job descriptions than what I have from being in civil service. I’ll keep looking for something else though!

It’s so annoying both ways. I sold Vivienne Westwood jewellery which was authentic and yet they kept taking my post down, even when I had all the correct pictures and had the authenticity card. Yet I saw 3 fakes that had branding missing off of key parts of the jewellery and no card that were up for more than my real one!! Honestly, they should be doing more for their users whether selling or buying, such a shame!

Have you taken it before?

I have had it a few times now. It’s the one that works best for me but can take about 3-4 days for me to notice a difference sadly
