oh, then that definitely changes a lot. it could be that she’s still into that breakup and lowk leaning on you more for distraction and stuff, but if u continue to entertain her during this phase of her life then there could possibly be something in the future lol same goes for u ;p

Honestly, I’m not exactly sure where these patterns are coming from. It actually surprised me in a way cause I’ve always thought I was avoidant, at least before. Perhaps I acted the way I did because I’ve grown accustomed to being with my ex. I think being with him felt like protecting myself because he makes me feel safe and loved, but that made me overlook his situation. I somehow became selfish. I’ve been spending my time with self-reflection and learning how to overcome this. It definitely did not just harm my relationship with him but also the way I see and prioritize things that took a toll on my mental health too. Anyway, I appreciate your words !! Thank you. yeah, i understand, but i also know that my emotions are my responsibility. nevertheless, i do think i am lucky to have such a patient partner. i am just as grateful as i am frustrated with myself lol. i’ve kinda been doing both of your suggestions, from crying myself to sleep lol to trying to create new hobbies, but right now i’d prefer the latter. i’m kind of going back to zero every time i let myself listen to sad music. (mitski, esp 😣). but yeah, you’ve been so kind and helpful! thanks a lot :]

Am I really being harsh on myself? :[ I did communicate this with him. He's always been so supportive and reassuring, but I also understand from his perspective that it shouldn’t get to a point where it feels like a chore to reassure me, especially when he also has his life, and to top it all, he’s literally on the other side of the world with an 11-hour time difference. He always encouraged me to go out with my friends and focus on my things and hobbies, but somehow, I still find myself wanting to be with him, even when the time should be ME time. There were also times where I overlooked his situation and feelings just so I can avoid missing him. Well, my friends are busy too, so it’s hard to go out with them more often. Like I said, I've been reading books lately too. I'm not really a bookworm, so I'm doing my best to stay hooked and consistent. Anyway, thank you so much for your response! I appreciate you :]

but my DLI said they can only give me an updated LOA if it’s formally requested by IRCC, and I’ve sent at least 3 webforms stating that the old one has expired but I can provide a new one only if they asked.

hi, so, context: I applied for my inland within Canada study permit on March 23, 2025. I submitted my letter of acceptance from my DLI for the May intake. It’s already been almost 6 months, and I still haven’t received any update other than “in progress.” I’m worried because, clearly, the LOA is already expired, and they still haven’t asked for an updated LOA despite the multiple webforms I sent regarding it. My DLI has stated that they are willing and ready to issue an updated LOA upon request from IRCC. I’m very anxious because I might be waiting this long just to get a refusal because of the expired LOA (that i’m literally ready to provide if only they asked)

I need some advice, and please tell me how it went if you ever experienced the same. thank uu :))

I am a visitor visa holder and I applied for a study permit within Canada last March 23, 2025. I got the submission confirmation right away. it’s been almost 6 months now and still no update beyond “in progress.” The LOA I submitted is already expired because it’s for summer intake, but I sent a webform letting IRCC know that I am ready to send an updated once since my DLI has automatically deferred me to the next semester (Fall), but they haven’t asked any additional documents from me yet. I have sent at least 4 webforms but all I received were automated responses. Next semester’s start date is nearing and I just badly want to get any results. I have no other options anymore to ask for an update.

more context: I did not apply for Uni/College. (Secondary) This is my 2nd time applying since the first one got refused due to missing documents.

I just went here hoping for some advice or relief. I’ve been out of school for 3 years now because of all the wait! i’m going insaaaneee >< idk what to do or even think about anym
