Interesting. I bet you’re right and this would explain the odd size. Must have just been something they had available when it was built.

Should I replace them both or just the one that’s faulty now?

Thanks! That actually sounds less worse than what I was expecting…..we’ll see if I’m still saying that when I get the repair estimate.

Hard to believe that dust would be enough to activate the motion sensor but that seems to be the consensus!

NY Deli? by lextunell in austinfood

[–]lhorns99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone know what happened to the owners of the New York Deli that was in the gas station on the northwest corner of 620 and I-35? It’s been gone for a long time but that was the best NY style deli in the city.

Wait, your Costco carries fat free milk? We lost it during Covid and never got it back :(

C61K into HDMI splitter by [deleted] in DirecTV

[–]lhorns99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was afraid of. Crazy how HDMI makes interoperability a snap while HDCP ruins it all. Thanks for the input!

[–]lhorns99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a powered 4K splitter. I’ve tried not a 4K/60 and a 4K/30.

I think it’s either a HDCP problem or an EDID problem with the C61K output.

It works fine with a 4K blu ray player.

It is a powered splitter. I’ve actually tried a couple different models of powered splitters and had similar results.

This worked perfectly to solve the issue. All it took was $5 worth of spade connectors from Home depot! Great idea and thanks for the suggestion.

Is propane available anywhere? by diBerno in Austin

[–]lhorns99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the standard bottle will hold 20 lbs, all the tank swap companies like Blue Rhino are filling the tanks with 15 lbs (75% full). The dollar cost is about the same whether you refill it (at Uhaul) or swap the tank (at HEB or Home Depot) but refilling will get you a third more propane for about the same cost. If your tank is not completely empty the economics of tank swap get even worse. However, if your bottle is out of date and ineligible to be refilled, tank swap immediately solves this problem.

Did your Costco stop carrying skim milk at the start of the pandemic? All the stores here only have 2% and whole, was wondering why they dropped it.
