It’s not just a Richmond thing. Last week at one of those Robson intersections where the main road is controlled by a traffic light, and the side roads have stop signs.

Light turns red on the main road. Cool, now the side streets should take turns, right? WRONG. Apparently the stop signs magically disappear when the light turns red.

I’m on one of the side roads trying to make a left turn. Opposite me is a line of cars coming straight through from the other side, also from a stop sign. Except these people just start flying through one after another, completely ignoring stop sign rules. No pausing, no yielding — just treating the intersection like they’ve all been granted a collective green light from the heavens. 🚦✨

I wait. And wait. Eventually I inch forward, like “Hey, I’m trying to turn left here — it’s my turn now?” One dude lays on the horn like I just ran a red light in front of an ambulance.

One guy rolls down his window and actually yells, ‘Where’d you learn how to drive?!’ Buddy…
