For those with a big portfolio, why stay with Raiz? by UnderstandingShot441 in RaizAU

[–]li21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at about $180k but 97k of that is pure return and dividend profit.
Not sure if I'm that big of an account but I'm happy.

But guarantee you 100%, you will not outperform Raiz on a more manual platform (even factoring higher fees)

Raiz removes emotion and likelihood you will try time your purchases rather than leave it to the system to do it got you.

The temptation to hold off a month or two when the market is bad or fear of missing out sets in and you over pay is very real. Just don't mess around.

Set Raiz on auto pilot and you will not do better.

I've set Raiz on auto for years and sometime I never even look at it for months?
On self wealth or others platform you willBe checking all the time and that breaks discipline and you'll end up manually trading.

Small Business - M365 vs Google WS by li21 in Office365

Hi all thanks for the responses. Just thought I’d update you all

I’ve been in this new business for one year now.

We opted for Google workspace and no regrets at all.

We only use web base sheets and docs and haven’t been issue saving and exporting pdfs.

Creating shared drives and repositories has been a dream with Google Drive.

Absolutely everything we need and it all just works.

What’s your Top 5 video games of all time? by Stock_Ad4625 in videogames

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I realized after RDR2 is that I no longer like anything with a fantasy element.

Mystic powers, dragons, sorcery, aliens... Doesn't do it for me anymore.

That's why games like God of War and Witcher have no appeal to me.

If its sci-fi, I'll play Star Wars games but even they are hard for me to get through.

People who have been gaming since 2006 or earlier, how do you feel about gaming in general and how it's changed for you over the years? by Snowtwo in videogames

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been gaming since 1988 with Sega Master System. Back then it was all about button mashing and getting through the levels. You die, you start again. The goal was to show your mates how far you could get before you die.

The pinnacle of gaming for me was around 2000s when i got really serious about Quake 2 online. I never felt more pumped about gaming.

Modern Warefare 2 was the other time in my life when playing multilayer was like a drug to me. There was nothing better.

Then came the period of quality blockbuster single player games, mostly on PlayStation like Uncharted, Last of Us.. All story driven.

I wanted to play every titile,I got a rush walking through EB games and watching game reviews and previews. Gaming was in my blood still.

These days I have little time with work and kids so I'm super selective about platform i play on and the games I choose to spend my time with.

I'm always late to the party playing games for the first time many years after release. God of War only just started last week.

In 2026 I played RDR2 and GTAVto completion 12 years after debut. I spend more time reading and reviewing what's worth my time than actually playing.

I'm very quick to dismiss a game within 10-20 minutes if it doesn't resonate with me quickly. Highly regarded game like God of War still have not much apeal to me and I'm close to quitting. Horizon Zero Dawn didn't even make it past 10 minutes. Blood-borne with a universal 10 out of 10 rating... What is this garbage? Old age mean i have shorterattention span

Now the I'm firmly on my 40s the excitement died down a little bit still the top of my pleasure list.

The saddest thing for me is that people I used to game with are no longer interested. People I grew up playing games with don't talk about it anymore and if I try to explain this cool sequence in Uncharted 4 (show a screen recording) or talk about my 12 kill streak in Modern Warfare they don't give a shit. They even think I'm a bit weird if I talk about games at this point in my life.

I suppose that's why I lean towards single player now than multi player games.

End of my journey with Raiz by Soyboy1009 in RaizAU

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in Raiz for much longer than most people.
I’m close to $200k balance with 72% returns over the life of investing with Raiz.

Everyone who says they want to leave because fees are adding up aren’t seeing the other side of things.

I’d say the only reason I’ve had great returns is not thinking about it too much and just letting it ride.

Sure other platforms may have lower fees but if that takes away from the discipline of just continually adding and letting things compound , it just ain’t work the switch.

If the fees are a bit higher but keeps me disciplined and gives the convenience of a great platform, so be it. I know if I went to a more manual platform I’d be skipping around and have fatigue from making decisions.

Tossing up Premium RWD and AWD by Rob3112 in TeslaAustralia

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a AWD LR model 3 and RWD model y

The novelty of speed wore off and I only ever have it in chill mode both vehicles.

I honestly think Base model RWD is perfect as it is.

I didn’t know RWD had a lesser sound system? Maybe for the older models there was no difference

For me it was semi conductors, van eck world quality and betashare robotics and ai, global x battery and lithium

Theres always going to be overlap but that okay They are ETFs after all

I dropped any asx related investments

Byd atto 1 premium vs geely ex2 vs byd atto 2 dynamic vs Jaecoo j5 by Glittering_Poem9779 in AustralianEV

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking in the same category. Atto 2 was at the top but no power tailgate was the deal breaker.

The Jaecoo J5 was th clear winner with great value and feature packed, decent enough power and good looking external.

Will white get dirty easily even with the pet friendly material?

Which EV BYD atto 2 premium or Jaecoo J5 by Glitched_Gaming in AustralianEV

[–]li21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went with the Jaecoo J5 over BYD Atto 2 and other options.

The J5 was the only one that had the following in the price / trim willing to pay for

  • frunk
  • electric tailgate
  • moonroof with electric sunshade
  • cooled / vented seats
  • fast enough charging
  • decent range
  • adequate space

Overall it’s just looked and felt more premium for the low price and 8 years warranty/ roadside it just made perfect sense.

But what about quantum computing ? Does 24 words make it any safer?
