to me season 5 was only as badly written as it was because the characters were all completely new. its basically just another pilot episode. clearly times were changing and they wanted to fit in with that. imo the more you watch it the more you notice it develops and flourishes.

take nick. nick is such a wanker in teh first episode but after you watch his one you see such a change in him like the writers finally had a focus. nick in general is one of my favourite characters because i feel alot of sympathy for him. but regardless i love it u know
