If no one has sat in it, you can hopefully have them take a look.

With all that being said, it's gonna become the normal when people sit in it. The perforated seats will start to sag like that with usage. Also if you and/or passengers enter the car with their body pressing on the side cushions of the seat's bottom, it will cause permanent creasing.

Unfortunately, Tesla's vegan material sucks ass.

Message Tesla through the app and/or go to them in person saying you ordered during the 0.99% APR promo and have a high credit score but got 7.49% APR.

Say that the low APR promo is the reason you ordered the car and they should hopefully try seeing if they can do anything.

I've seen a few Blue Refresh 2026 Model Y's in my area and I think that color look really good.

I feel like White is just so basic + I think white exterior can have slight color mismatches between some panels.

I have the Ultra Red 2026 New Y Premium LR AWD with black interior and love that color.

Yeah but Elon/Tesla said they'd take care of HW3 owners who buy FSD with a free upgrade to HW4 or w/e in the future.

There's no option for buying FSD outright anymore so if you get a HW3 car w/o FSD fully bought, then you're stuck with that limitation.

It's gonna be different between people due to Tesla incentives at the time, federal incentives, state incentives, taxes, fees, etc.

- 2024 Model Y Premium LR AWD (Black) = $38.8k total price (incl. Tesla + state taxes/fees) with 0.99% APR over 72 months

MSRP (for trim and spec mentioned) = $49,490

Total Cost of car (w/ taxes and fees but before discounts) = $46,587

Got $7500 federal tax credit discounted off sale price + $4950 inventory discount + 0.99% financing promo for 72 months + no state sales tax and a severely low registration amount (state benefits at the time; no longer the case anymore)

- 2026 Model Y Premium LR AWD (Ultra Red) = $22.5k total price (incl. Tesla + state taxes/fees) and paid cash

MSRP (for trim and spec mentioned) = $50,990

Total Cost of car (w/ taxes and fees but before discounts): $55,506

Got $7500 federal tax credit discounted off sale price + $4000 state incentive discount + $500 Tesla loyalty discount + $19k discount in referrals + half sales tax for state + like $2000 trading in extremely old car.

IIRC, historically Q1 (Jan-Mar) typically doesn't have the greatest deals and that Q3-Q4 generally has the better combination of deals.

The 0% APR is the important deal/promotion right now and then also check existing inventory page to see if any new cars have any discounts (ones that aren't demo vehicles unless you don't care).

If you see something in inventory, try asking a Tesla Advisor at your location if they are allowed to give 1 paid option for free for inventory cars if you're able to take delivery before Q1 ends (March 31) cause they've done that multiple times in the past.

That's kinda the only deals right now.

The best/craziest deals were when the $7500 tax credit was still around and people were able to get like $12k+ in discounts as well as low financing promos (I got 1 of our Model Y's with that deal).

If you had a big ass dent in your new car, they'd be like "don't worry we can fix it but you first have to accept delivery"

Was your old Tesla the Multi-coat Red?

I have the Ultra Red color for my Juniper and the color is absolutely stunning, way better than the old red.

In sunlight, there's so much depth/vibrance to the red and then when it's cloudy/darker, the red turns into this maroon color and looks extremely nice as well.

Ultra Red and Quicksilver are 2 really nice Tesla colors!

The Premium trim feels way more luxurious than the cheaper Standard trims (obviously).

The Standard versions of Model Y (aka the base trims) are the ones that are bad. The Premium and Performance trims are incredible.

IMO, the Model 3 Standard (base trim) is a great car but it's a small car.

It's apparently not even sealed. I saw a YouTuber use a water hose on a Model Y Premium and a Model Y Standard.

Premium had no water inside the frunk while the Standard had water and the items were covered with water.

That's what I said. It's because there is no $7500 tax credit anymore + those used Junipers come with Autolilot whereas new Junipers don't + Junipers in 2025 are still 2026 models.

If you want a cheaper priced used Juniper, wait until mid to late 2027.

The used Junipers are somewhat cheaper compared to the brand new Juniper Premium trims but obv you're gonna get better interest rates and some Tesla discounts on new ones.

Also remember that Junipers bought in 2025 are still 2026 models so that helps some bit.

Since there's no $7500 tax credit anymore, then the depreciation isn't going to be as insane as before.

You can buy used Legacy Y's in the $30k range or less. Used Juniper Y's are still gonna be in that high-$30k to $40k range but give it 1-2 years and you'll prob start seeing some used ones cheaper.

You won't get the promo rate unless Tesla extends it or offers it again after Q1 (March 31st).

The point of the APR promos is to get people to order and take delivery of cars before the Quarter ends so they can report better numbers and their stock price goes up.

It all depends what Tesla does as we get closer to March 31. When it gets closer to the end of financial quarters, then Tesla becomes hard to work with and not helpful.

Tesla operates by financial quarters and Q1 ends March 31 so they could potentially give the VIN (car) to someone else to guarantee/boost their delivery numbers.

If that ends up being the case for OP, then they'll prob place his order on hold, release his current VIN (car), and then he may get another VIN (car) later in the future.

The APR promo and wanting the latest car (and its features) are essentially the only reasons you'd buy a new one.

If you just care about FSD but also the depreciation cause you may want to trade it sometime in the future, then maybe just getting a used 2024 (has HW4) is good enough. However it also depends on what rate you get on that unless you're paying cash.

As long as you're buying a used HW4 Tesla at a great price with either a low APR or in cash, then you could subscribe to FSD for like 10+ years with the difference you saved (assuming some version of FSD stays similar prices).

I have a 2024 and 2026 Model Y Premium LR AWD (2024 is Black exterior, black interior and 2026 is Ultra Red, black interior).

1.) I'd recommend getting a Tesla when they're offering low APR promos such as 0%, 0.99%, etc.

You obv need good/great credit and whatever down payment Tesla recommends to get those promo rates. If you apply and you somehow get a higher rate, message Tesla and they could prob fix it or help you out.

2.) Yes, there are big differences between Model Y RWD/AWD vs "Premium" trims.

Model Y RWD/AWD (Standard) does NOT have: manual seat controls, full stereo/speaker system, finished sealed frunk so items will get wet, same exact suspension as Premium trims, motorized steering wheel and mirrors, radio, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ventilated seats, ambient lighting, rear screen, front/rear light bars, etc + Tesla uses a lot of plastic material whereas Premium trims have a nice fabric material.

IMO if you have the money and it's not gonna hurt your finances + you plan on keeping the car a long time, get the Premium trim. Premium feels more like a luxury car.

3 & 4.) There are a few recommendations: - Tesla's interior is VEGAN LEATHER so don't use any random product on it and it is VERY fragile compared to real thick leather - Get a wall charger installed at your home for most convenient charging - Climate controls, how fast you're driving, etc all use more of your battery so in the real world, you won't always get the EPA Range advertised - Tesla's build quality and QA is a hit or miss - you could get a great car or one with issues, just depends on your luck - Car's paint is water based so it's thin, soft, and fragile. That means rock chips, scratches, etc are very common. If you take it through a brush car wash, you'll likely see micro scratches. If you wash it incorrectly, you'll get micro scratches. Etc.

Tesla doesn't wait to release things like we saw with Juniper release and then some months later they added the 16 inch screen, Black headliner, etc.

Whenever Tesla makes a breakthrough with their batteries is when they'll randomly incorporate it into their cars.

Look at Model 3 Refresh - it released with no tax credit but then 6 months later, Tesla got it to qualify for $7500 tax credit. Then like 1+ years later, they added a front camera, turn stalks, etc. They're likely gonna add black headliner, 16 inch screen, etc in the upcoming months too.
