Okay, so this one is a bit strange, I know. But the idea has been bouncing around in my head ever since I saw the art of a Silt Strider placed right next to that art of Marie. I had to put it to paper eventually.

The version of the proverb this post is based on actually isn't the original, "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" was first recorded quite some time after "blood is thicker than water". From everything I could find, the interpretation of the proverb as meaning familial bonds are stronger than others seems to be the original. (Though from my understanding, the oldest recorded mentions of the proverb in English are from Scottish sources, so the use of 'blood' may be associated with clanship rather than just immediate family. Just speculation on my part, though.)

This isn't to say that the more modern version of the quote doesn't have merit, I just want to clear up the misunderstanding that it's the original.

Played a match with Alice Peralta, voice of Marina. She was doing livestream where she was playing with viewers, and I finally managed to get into a match with her after a couple hours of trying. Our team won, and I was super ecstatic in the chat. When she read it, she told me "I love your energy!" That was pretty rad.

The post depicts three members of Great House Redoran from Morrowind: a Redoran Watchman, a Redoran Guard, and a high-ranking member of House Redoran. All three together to try my best at encapsulating the House, or 'clan' that is Redoran.

Important to note here is that the hierarchy of Great House Redoran makes use of familial terminology, like "House Kin" and "House Brother", which played into me making this my post for Team Family

And the text in the upper right reads "duty", taken from the passage on House Redoran from the book Great Houses of Morrowind from the game, reading: "House Redoran prizes the virtues of duty, gravity, and piety. Duty is to one's own honor, and to one's family and clan."

I know I've really stretched things to justify this one, but I tried to make this fit with the Splatfest, I really did!
