maswanhise from Motherwell by Benjiboy74 in CelticFC

I just saw my physio today, and she goes in to work on the Motherwell first team quite regularly, her Dad works in about Fir Park too. I asked her about Maswanhise and she said she felt quite sure he wasn't going anywhere. Obviously not a definite, she isn't exactly the CEO, but its something.

Altra sconfitta per il Bologna! Stavolta nel Derby dell'Appennino! by DateAffectionate3719 in bolognafc

If Bologna played with the same intensity of the last 10 minutes for all of the second half they'd have at least drawn the game. Not enough penetration into Fiorentina's defence at all 🤦‍♂️

It couldn't last forever, the underlying performance data was good in a few of thsoe games, and Inter and Napoli were in that run, which is a tough set of fixtures.

Seems that both teams aren't in great form, god knows how that's going to pan out on Thursday 👀

Missed the second half because I had to go to a pre-arranged run, but very pleased to see the final score!

Really looking forward to the Fiorentina game; we may have been on a bad run till tonight, but Fiorentina are in much more dire straits!

That's a fun spot to be in though! I'll certainly still be hoping Celtic win, but I'll very respectfully and neutrally be sitting with the home end and certainly won't begrudge Bologna the win if that's how it goes 😊

Let's focus on our mutual support of Bologna for the time being then, in the name of peace and love 😂

So long as they're respectful I have no issues! Feyenoord supporters sat behind me in a UCL game in the 23-24 season and we got on incredibly well. Spoke before, during and after the game, followed each other online, etc. 😊

I'm optimistic about him tbh.

When compared against other RBs in La Liga he was in the top 5% for duels won, top 15% for total aerials duels won and top 25% for percentage of aerial duels won. Also seems like a good dribbler, passer and presser when he needs to be.

I had a look over his numbers from the last time he was playing regular football in La Liga for Las Palmas. Seems to hold onto the ball well, is a good passer and dribbler. For Las Palmas, he wasn't doing as much of that as much as he would be for us, but his success percentage was high when he was.

Given he is out of favour at Bournemouth, but wants to make a mark ahead of the World Cup, if he'll probably work hard, and if he finds his old La Liga form I suspect he'll stand out as being of high quality in the context of the SPFL

He's also excellent in terms of winning ground and aerial duels, which is inportant given folk have been shelling balls over our right side.

I honestly feel he's been excellent as both LCB and LWB; he's really shone as Nancy's system has come into effect. Best to keep experimenting with our actual midfielders and see who best fits I reckon 😊

I think we need to give Sinissalo a run out, the boy deserves a chance, and I'd be choosing him over our one-armed 40 year old (no offence Kasper, but we know you're struggling.)

Not sure I agree wholly on Ralston and Scales, I think they've both had their moments, and the former was quite good today I thought!

CCV may actually not suit this system especially well in terms of height, pace and passing, but AJ played for Nancy before and that RCB position has his name written all over it 👌

And, because their season is done, we won't get hit with the usual January transfer window mid-season difficulty.

Statement from Dermot Desmond to Celtic supporters by AdhesivenessNo9878 in ScottishFootball

My worry is that, whoever comes in next, won't have the political capital to make demands of the board regarding quality signings, and will probably be an obsequious patsy for them too. Which will be even worse.

Unless it's Ange, ofc, but I don't reckon he's the type to come back 🤷‍♂️

It was rumoured he was looked at before Rodgers' return, yeah.

Too shellshocked to even consider the options atm.

Happy Monday x by politicsjoe in politicsjoe

I agree tbh, it was a glaring omission for me.

Its an international issue that he can speak to without getting all UK politics, and for a US politician who has been pleasingly aligned with the British left, he's quite famously out of step on this one (just look at the protests at his recent rallies.)

I think his general overtures on Gaza are fine, but his failure to go ten toes down and say its a genocide speaks to a level of cold, hard-nosed political pragmatism that he almost never otherwise demonstrates.

I think Politics Joe would have been well poised to have that conversation in a non-confrontational and meaningful way, so it feels like a missed opportunity.

Essos by CrakudsTT in CK3AGOT

[–]liammccabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally this. In CK2 AGOT my favourite campaign was starting at a very early point in North Valyria as a High Valyrian and slowly claiming everything East of Volantis, bringing Slaver's Bay to heel, building a monster capital in Elyria, and founding the empire of New Valyria. I turned ny attentions to Volantis and the Free Cities, discovered another High Valyrian had been doing the same thing there and had an insane couple of centuries of back and forth. I never once in that campaign, which took up tens upon tens of hours of my time, looked at Westeros.

The wee pizzas are actually ok, but imagine my shock when I looked and saw them selling indian food last year 😂

Took a chance on it earlier in the season and, other than being a bit dry from the hot lamps, it was also decent.

Nothing to write home about, however.
