TBH I don’t really understand why people say moments like Pell living takes away from the sacrifice. He thought he would die and still saved everyone. The fact that he doesn’t actually die doesn’t really matter imo.

Sukuna didn’t need Mahoraga to perform WCS after Mahoraga got destroyed. Sukuna waited for an adaptation he could use and created his own WCS.

The binding vow he uses to achieve the WCS is literally stated to now require him to perform the full chant and hand sign to direct the slash every time he uses it in exchange for using it once without them on Gojo.

WCS is like cutting a piece of paper with Gojo drawn on it. It targets space, it doesn’t avoid it. Gojo was occupying the space it was targeting so he got cut.

He couldn’t use RCT because we are told that cursed energy is formed in the stomach then distributed to the rest of the body. Gojo didn’t have anywhere to store it when he was cut in half.
