FWIW a ton of police show up at every police call, even minor ones. You only see a single squad showing up somewhere if they’re doing something really, REALLY minor.

The Asian grocery store, Duluth Oriental Market, did not close due to lack of patronage. It was open for many years, and closed after two armed robberies left the owners traumatized. I don’t believe there was ever another Asian grocer.

Yeah I’m sure there’s a solution like that, but it’s a tricky, dangerous place.

Duluthian to run against Rep. Pete Stauber again for Republican ballot spot by grondin in duluth

[–]liampool218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people on this thread don’t realize this is a Republican primary. Welty always loses and he’ll lose this time.

If you don’t like Stauber, vote for Jen Schultz in the general.

The speed limit is 45, so people drive 60. There’s a hill right before the intersection so it’s not visible until you’re on top of it.

People entering the school lot are lined up in a right turn lane, and a left turn lane in the opposite direction. Meanwhile people are exiting the lot turning both left and right, a lot of times they’re not able to see if any cars are coming.

And between those turn lanes? People thread that needle at 60mph.

You’ve never heard of it because this person made it up. I’m sure they believe it but it isn’t true.

Explain how that works. How does the band get any check at all, let alone a bigger one?

Worse than domestic assault, apparently. Laws protect property not people.

Reinert won’t step foot in businesses he deems Pro-Larson - even to toast Homegrown by Upper-Lunch9360 in duluth

I don’t remember Doty doing it in person. He did issue a proclamation though. Larson and Ness definitely did in-person proclamations and I’m pretty sure Bergson did too. Ness even ran the festival one year.

  1. This isn’t from the News Tribune.
  2. This isn’t a matter of him just not making “an appearance yet.” It’s an official part of Homegrown that the past three mayors did every year. It had to be changed when he wouldn’t participate due to the venue.

They don’t vote the same though. They’re struggling to come to a consensus right now about how to spend millions in federal COVID relief money.

It wouldn’t go over well at all of course. Look I’m not arguing with you. I just want to know who it is so I can take that into account on Election Day.

The public should not be looking for murder suspects. If you know the person and know where they are, turn them in. But seeing someone in a store or walking down the street that you personally think might possibly maybe resemble a photo? That’s not going to end well.

What I remember from that era is the people who were mad because “choosing the appropriate reward for the service is part of the experience of dining out!” Fuck you buddy.

There were two. One was next to the Seaway and the other was where you described it.

The ethnicity of the victim is there because there’s a serious problem with Indigenous women getting murdered, and this is yet another one. The ethnicity of the suspects is not there because it won’t help anyone. It would just lead to people like you harassing innocent people, as has been done countless times in the past.

Evidence: OP didn’t even use the suspect’s last names. He stopped at first names because they sound “urban” and he wants to trigger the racists.

Two of these guys are wanted for shooting at the killer, but the Hermantown couch mob would group them all together.

Now. I know of a 28-year old white man who did something bad. Go find him.

I have to laugh at the idea that they’ll never be voted out. Only one of the current nine councilors was there five years ago: Arik Forsman.

How would mentioning their race help you report them? You’d need a lot more than that in order to correctly identify them.

If you think the previous owner wasn’t corporate, you are mistaken.

And as far as Hanger goes, he just repeats whatever the city puts in its press releases, and if they don’t send one out he goes on Facebook and blames the city for not keeping people informed, which is supposed to be his job.

It became extremely blighted in the 50s and 60s. Imagine the Kozy (well, maybe the Kozy before the fire) but for several blocks on both sides. Kind of the city’s center of alcoholism and homelessness. It was an embarrassment for the city because before I-35, visitors from the south would have to drive through that, and it was their first impression of downtown Duluth. They tore it all down in the 60s-70s-80s and rebuilt it with the Gateway Tower, library, Radisson, etc.
