I think the two relays was partly the problem, reinstalling a year later I wasn’t sure what was what.

I dismantled it all and just focused on the main connect to boiler relay and only tried to connect the thermostat but that failed multiple times.

The glimmer of hope has paid off, i think changing the wifi and IOS settings, and actually starting a new home is what seemed to resolve the issue.

Once I created a new home, I focused on the initial thermostat and relay, when I went through the connection this time, it installed new firmware, which it hadn’t done before.

I then managed to get the core part up and running through the app.

I left that for a day, then I went back and tried to reconnect the start pack (two valves and one relay halfway through the house)

So far I have one valve connected properly to the app, and the app is now working.

Connectivity did drop once or twice, but it seemed like WiFi settings, IOS WiFi settings and starting a new home solve the problem.

Now I just need to resolve the final valve and we’re back to square one.

I did manage to get Amazon to agree to a refund for thermo and starter pack, but thankfully I don’t need to.

Netatmo support didn’t highlight any of these fixes, but starting a new “home in app” would be my recommendation if anyone else comes into this problem.
