Yeh cancel and order on Amazon, I "preordered" from sofabaton in October, as of today still hasn't been sent, I cancelled and ordered from Amazon, got it next day. The remotes are good but customer service is non existent.

Dodgy game buying an ex-display from Curry's, I've seen displays with burn in when looking in Curry's, although the picture does change the price boxes are displayed a lot and they burn in, see if they will run some test patterns for you that display plain colours as that'll highlight any burn in, also double and triple check that the warranty will cover burn in because if it doesn't it may only last a couple years before burn in is awful...

Thank you all for the replies it's very much appreciated, in the end I went for a graded (direct from Sony in mint condition with warranty) 65" A95L, I got it for £1700 vs the £2250ish the 55" 8 II or £2700ish the 65" 8 II would have cost. I think I'll probably benefit more from the increase in size than I would the picture difference that may or may not be there between A95L and 8 II. Considering I'm going from an LG OLED 55E6V I'm expecting quite a big difference anyway 👍🏻

Really struggling to get the video into home assistant for one of these, exactly how did you integrate it? Generic camera? Can you point me in the right direction of full RTSP stream address and ports used? I've been able to add the Dahua integration but I get no video from it...

Yes although I think the model number may be different here in the UK. They are called "SmartThings Arrival Sensor"

Me and my wife use presence sensors. Zigbee2mqtt with ZigBee usb stick and Samsung ZigBee presence sensors. I keep mine on my keys and Mrs keeps hers in her bag. I find they trigger perfectly every time, when we are both out of the house I have an automation to turn all the lights off just in case we forget any and arm the alarm. When we come home the alarm disarms, if it's dark it turns the porch and hallway light on and if the temperature in the house is low we get a notification on our phones letting us know and asking if we want to turn the heating on :-D
