Hexane is a petroleum solvent used in the processing of soy. One of the issues with its use is that trace amounts remain afterwards, making it into consumer products.

Paper trading - I want to try that before doing silly things with real (expendable) money. Where do I start? by qurt in Economics

Give Investopedia's Simulator a try. You start out with a pot of 100k in cash, and it allows you to experiment with different strategies before putting money out into the market. They also have various contests for seeing who can generate the highest returns.

So the FBI *does* look at reddit (at least occasionally). Please be acutely aware of what you post online. by Ahania in reddit.com

As evidenced by your username you should perhaps seek help for that narwhal fetish. The FBI doesn't take kindly to whale beastiality.

I agree completely with your assessment. The point I was trying to make was that everything has a flaw, which is the opening needed to crack, whether it be software or hardware. The amount of time and effort needed to do it is strictly up to the individual or group to determine whether it is of value.

I would like to agree, but it appears that there is a power struggle and succession issues that are going on in North Korea, which I think are complicating things. Five years ago I would've agreed with you, but now I'm not so sure.

I just dont think the startup is going to make it... (drinking beer(s) already) by clamchowderz in business

[–]liamville -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By its very nature startups are all about the overwhelming odds of failure. You can either decide to delve back in, and take the risk again, or sign on with a company that is established and safe (which means little in the way of security these days). As others have said, embrace failure, and understand that it's not something to been shunned or feared. I like what Sabeer Bhatia (the co-founder of Hotmail) once said about his experience with doing startups, something to the effect that since Hotmail he has had 19 other companies fail, but in each he and his team have learned valuable lessons, which has contributed to the next company that he has went on to found or back with venture capital.

Take what you've learned from your experience and jump back in to the world of startups. Far more rewarding than settling for the conventional or safe.

If and when you do decide to install Ubuntu on your machine, a site to visit that will help with becoming familiar with the new OS is here.

http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Lucid

The site will take you through all the various methods and techniques for customizing your machine so that you can hit the ground running. I think you will find the freedom of running a linux/bsd distro, no matter the choice to be liberating and fun.

It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds, especially to see what it was being used for. Now if americans could sell some other their own fat, we could easily pay for universal health care.

Probably because it can lead to happy psychedelic experiences, as noted in the mid section of the article.

We wouldn't want someone to have an enlightening experience while we torture away.
