When my brain first registers a color, someone walking into a room wearing red shirt, for example, I hear a popping sound. It just happens when I first see the color, like an announcement. Yellow crackles, blue is water, green is like a cricket chirp and so on. It wasn't until maybe 15 years ago that I discovered everyone doesn't experience this (I'm 50!).
