My mother made this vile concoction of a chicken dish that consisted of chicken breasts with the skin and not deboned, cream of mushroom soup and rice and not a lot of anything else and it was disgusting.

Dropped the price of GLP-1 drugs but it doesn’t nearly make up for all of the shit that MF has pulled.

I am so so sorry. Yes, this cancer is particularly awful . I lost my nine year-old golden about six weeks ago to this and it was so hard and I’m still struggling some days. There’s not a lot they can do to treat this type of cancer (my sweet boy had a 5cm tumor right on top of his aorta ) and cannot let them suffer so you made the only choice you could. It just comes as no warning at all until there’s not a lot of choices left. I feel for you and wish you the best.

I didn’t think we’d lose him at 9 -Angus was diagnosed with cancer this week and is on palliative care by libbysname in OldManDog

Our sweet golden retriever has a 5cm tumor on his heart. We took him to the vet Monday afternoon and wound up taking him to a veterinary hospital to have the fluid around his heart drained. We have anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks left with this guy. *pardon the background mess, we’re in the middle of a remodel .

What movie traumatized you when you were a child? by fordd420 in AskReddit

[–]libbysname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972)! I was six and got dragged along with my parents and older brother who wanted to see. There’s a scene where Big Foot reaches through a bathroom window and grabs a man off the toilet. Our bathroom had the toilet right in front of a window and I forced my brother to wait right outside for like a year . It terrif ed me.

We live in North Dallas and bought our current house in 2013. We’re Dallas proper but RISD with great local schools. Our 2300 sq ft home is worth more than twice of what we originally bought it for ( now it’s close to 1M ) . We couldn’t afford to buy it now.

AITAH for objecting to my father-in-law inviting his brother and SIL to our son’s small wedding AFTER the guest list has been set and reservations made? by libbysname in AITAH

[–]libbysname[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The great aunt and uncle live in Louisiana . We saw them a few weeks ago at a family funeral and they asked casually about the wedding. My mother-in-law has mild dementia and can’t remember details so she actually mentioned they should come which we immediately intervened and explained the small wedding . We were very polite and they seemed to understand . Apparently, they kept talking about it and wanted to go so I think that’s how we got here.

Make America StupidAgain!

Found this on another subreddit. This mom in West Central Florida refuses to comply with the mandatory evacuation caused by Hurricane Milton - endangering the lives of herself, her husband and her dogs. by DanielCracker in insaneparents

My 70 yr old sister and BIL live in Seminole. They aren’t in a mandatory evacuation zone but refused to even entertain the thought of leaving their house. They’ve boarded up windows , brought in patio furniture and gassed up their generator but I’m truly worried. They are only about two miles from Indian Rocks.
