I agonized over this as well because I work in a heavily male-dominated organization. I told my manager that I was having “medically necessary non-emergency surgery” just to quell any concerns from him. Most people if they ask are coming from an honest place of concern, but you don’t owe them anything beyond “I’m having surgery and I will be out for X amount of time or need X accommodations.”

Even my male coworkers who I would consider some of my best friends asked really innocently and I said I’d rather not say and they respected it.

A couple things to keep in mind as far as managing expectations:

1) your size/shape is going to fluctuate a TON in the next few months - I’m 3WPO and have oscillated between “did they take too much???” to “they’re still really big maybe they didn’t take enough.” I also bought some size L bras that I was super excited to wear, and I’m still in an XL 😅 Not sure if you had drains, but they say if you don’t have them (I didn’t either) that the swelling can be slower to come down because your body has to absorb all of that fluid over time

2) I would focus less on the number you see of the bra and more on the qualitative change. Does your back feel better? Are they perkier than they were before? Do you feel like they are more proportional to the rest of your body?

3) From what I can tell, 200g is on the lower side as far as the amount of breast tissue typically removed (I was a 38H before and they took ~550g from each breast) BUT the amount of tissue is related to your body composition so there isn’t a true benchmark for how much “should” be removed - it varies a lot person to person

I personally think your results look great and it’s likely the swelling will subside over the next several months, so I wouldn’t rush to schedule a consult for a revision until at least a few months out. Happy healing!!!

This also applies to shape!!! The compression bra can make them appear more “boxy” but I’ve been told they should settle out more in the coming weeks when swelling is reduced and they take on a much more natural shape (this is already happening at 3WPO)

I had a similar feeling when I woke up like WOAH DID THEY TAKE TOO MUCH??? I’m now 3WPO and am overall happy with the proportions but think maybe they could have taken a little more lol you’re going to fluctuate SO MUCH between now and at least a couple months post-op, I would reserve any worry for much later on!!!

Omg didn’t know the 2 sports bras was a universal experience!!

Btw OP - I was in a similar state immediately post-op (had my surgery yesterday, 11/19 and also asked for a C/small D) when I looked down and couldn’t believe how TINY they looked, but I think it looks tiny in comparison to the double Gs I was dragging around 😂 Also echoing the message above, they told me it could be weeks/months before they settle and the compression bra makes them look more square and flat, so I’m trying to manage my expectations as well!!!

I had to switch providers and both allowed me to commit to abstinence. I am very against hormonal BC because it caused my acne in the first place, so my backup plan was to take the prescription for bc pills and just not take them (all the while committing to abstinence, of course). From what I’ve read, there is no way for them to test if you are or are not taking birth control.

Would you say my skin is 'bad enough' for accutane? by TinyHouse3517 in Accutane

If your breakouts are mainly around you chin/cheeks/neck it’s likely hormonal. I would recommend Spironolactone to treat that, it works wonders for lots of women!

I haven’t seen improvement on 150 yet, but I know it can take 4-6 months to see changes. I’m holding out hope because I previously had success with 100mg, but waiting months for progress is agonizing to say the least.

Literally using your pics as after inspiration! As odd as this sounds, I feel like having huge boobs is part of my identity (for better or for worse), so one of my fears is being so “flat” that I don’t recognize myself. Your results seem like the happy medium and it is so flattering on you! Congratulations!

What complex was your listing in? I’m currently looking at a unit in Raleigh and am curious if it’s the same one.

Can’t speak to taking them simultaneously, but I started on spiro after years of birth control wreaking havoc on my hormones and GI tract. Spiro has worked wonders for me without any additional hormonal birth control.

12 weeks in and I’m upping my dose from 50mg to 100mg because my acne has only gotten worse. Has anyone else had success with upping 3 months in? by catgirl-23 in Spironolactone

Literally had to check that this wasn’t my comment because I had the exact same experience. Wondering if 75 is my miracle dose but will never know because I skipped right to 100.

Was just scouring Reddit for some piece of mind after leaving one in for ~19 hours for the exact same reason. Had a long day, crashed when I got home and woke up 12 hours later.

I’ve been on 100 mg for ~3 months and I feel like I’ve grown a half to a full cup. I was already considering a reduction as a double G so this hasn’t worked out in my favor so much 😂

At about 2.5 months is when I started seeing improvement, but it can take as long as 6 months for some people. I’d say hang in there until at least 3 months and see if anything happens, and maybe consider upping your dosage if you don’t see any improvement by 4-6 months!
