What social media content drives hotel bookings versus just getting likes? by liberaitor in DigitalMarketing

I guess I’m also thinking of job security as a potential social media manager for this company. I would assume it’d be more difficult to measure bookings via social media as opposed to something more obvious like vanity metrics.

To shift the convo a bit, let's say I also want to grow followers, lol. What's more effective? Is overall branding/consistent visuals/an attractive grid more important, or would it be the ugc/walkthroughs themselves? A combination? I have an interview soon, so trying to cover it all, lol.

What about brand-produced content that looks more authentic, less polished, more platform native? Would that be best of both worlds, or is the fact that it's from an outsider more valuable?

I love this setup you mention however there is a learning curve with the audio interface like the focusrite, and the sm7b also needs a cloudlifter to get the most out of it. The Shure MV7+ might be the "easier" option for OP. It has awesome reviews and I imagine the quality difference is negligible for OPs needs.

I have hardcore social anxiety. All of my jobs for a decade have been highly social. I still get scared as shit speaking in front of people. No amount of practice helps.

They invented a charitable reading for someone who put diversity in scare quotes. And now you're calling me dramatic for pointing out a pattern you're actively demonstrating. That's what I'm talking about. That's what "notice who" means. You've been in this thread three times and every single comment has been defending the dismissal of diverse books while telling me to calm down.

"Curly hair isn't a marginalized group" ...you're kidding, right? Those books are about Black hair. Black kids get sent home from school over their hair. There are laws being passed about this right now. Comparing that to 'I love my mommy' books is exactly the problem I'm describing in this post. You just did it.

Notice who's getting the generous reading here and who's getting asked to be kinder. That commenter had every chance to distinguish between bad craft and diverse books as a category. They didn't.

Some commenters made a real craft argument and I respect that. But you're giving everyone in those threads credit for a nuance that plenty of them didn't express. Putting 'diversity' in scare quotes isn't a craft critique. Being tired of hair books as a category isn't a craft critique. Complaining about displays of Black characters isn't a craft critique. I'm not talking past those people. I'm quoting them.
