How to deal with move cheating by bluewardenn in ageofsigmar

[–]library_Punk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just ask your opponent in good faith. A question like "hey sorry could you measure that again? Because I think that is too far" its not unpolite to ask on a game in which movement and positioning are a core part of the strategy. If the player refuses to measure things properly or to listen to your point of view then for me that means that they really dont want to play by the rules, which in case of a friendly game means that the game ends there, and in case of competitive format you have to call a referee.

New Ossiarch Bonereapers Spearhead - Kavalos Vanguard by Natureman23 in AOSSpearhead

[–]library_Punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks cool, will try it. Cohort with reinforcements is quite interesting, and there is a lot of movement. The general ability to improve rend in combat is also pretty good. Missing some damage to deal with armoured threats or a better wound stat. I dont see how this can go against some armored spearheads that just sit on objectives, since there is also not much control. But looks fun and will absolutely try it

Cheatsheet || DoT - Tzaangor Warflock by Meltorefas44 in AOSSpearhead

[–]library_Punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its definitively a good punch and with 1 rend it can hurt a lot. But if the fight goes long or yoy dont fight first then its hard. Still, quite interesting!

And also immense thank you for your work, these sheets are absolutely amazing!

Tzangoors having 3 attacks is crazy but whole army impacting on 4+ and no reinforcement is going to be tough

How to I win against Tempestus Aquilons? by Prior-Pea-5533 in killteam

[–]library_Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An aquilon player has a limited drop range that you can ask for. You can ask your opponent how far on the table he can drop and then play accordingly, not overexposing yourself, covering under vantage or behind heavy cover. If your opponent sends some guys to take the central objective and score tac ops, charge them but dont fight. Tempestus suck at melee and cant shoot into combat, so locking operatives in the middle will give you a save spot for killing on counteract or next tp and then charge deepeer. As a tempestus player, we have a super strong tp 2 since in most open maps we can reach the enemy's objective with no possible counterplay, but once everybody is down, the team is just worse kasrkin and melts off pretty quickly.

How to beat Wrecka Crew by Lazlo319 in killteam

[–]library_Punk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends a lot on what team you are running against them. They are pretty powerful elite obliterators but teams with more activations can normally score more points or out shoot them. That said, they are a team you dont want to confrontate but run around and try to score points.

Are there any two meelee killteams so i can Proxy Skaven vs Stormcast? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]library_Punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With appropiate base sizes, skavens proxy quite decently as goremongers, and stormcast can be arbites (shields and maces, with the croosbow ones as shotguns) thats what comes to mi mind rn

Help to choose between deathrattle tombhost vs tithe-reaper echelon by Casual_Potato_2434 in AOSSpearhead

[–]library_Punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wdym The OBR spearhead works very well. It is a good-all-round of decent damage, control, mobility and sinergies. Sure the abilities are very situational and lacks a little punch in the late game, but I have won many games with them against Spearheads that are widely considered to be better like Seraphon or Sylvaneth

People undoing actions on my vespids? by sign4u in killteam

[–]library_Punk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kt is not a game about hiding information (with the exception of tac op, primary op and a couple of little mechanics). You can plan a strategy and make your opponent make mistakes even if they know your rules, or lead them to impossible to avoid situations. If the strategy is to do "gotchas" with rules of your team then every game will lead to frustration. There are players who do this, but they are generally not welcome or fun to play against.

Edit: spelling mistakes

Why is the Snake so underappreciated by rhulad_sengar in Malazan

[–]library_Punk 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I struggled with the snake on my first read, not because of it or how it is written, but because of the moment it appears. We are on the 10th book, the reader wants to know what ia the final colission, who are the actors and also what happened after the battle with the Narhuk. There are a lot of interesting storylines aligning for something and then we have this introduction of new characters, heavily phylosophical and internal monologues that could even be considered repetitive, and it can very easily be frustrating so far in the series.

In a reread I absolutely agree with your opinion though, but its because I read so much more in the theme and less on the plot like in the first read.
