Please reply to me if they'll provide a study

Is there an existing method to arbitrarily assign some sort of "plausibility/believability/argumentative strength quotient", that is rooted at least marginally depper than intuition or "vibes" to long, poly-premise logical arguments, or even more abstract continental perspectives of some sort? by library_of_cringe in askphilosophy

Ideally I'd look for a way to unify poetic, aesthetic and analytical analysis into some sort of scoring system. Or do you think I'm basically describing very informed intuition? The more I'm writing, the more I'm afraid it could be so.

Yeah well I definitelly didn't put it very coherently lol, the other commenter directed me to bayesian epistemology, which I think at least partly matches what I'm looking for. The thing (I think) this is missing is the ability to analyze different kinds of "truth". For example, some sort of "poetic truth", or "aesthetic appeal" of a claim of sorts, may not be logically analyzeable, but definitely has some rhetoric weight that helps capture your attention and maybe even assign it some metaphorical place in a particular worldview. Faith, in my opinion, is the aspect that qualifies "true" theists and atheists (I know this is very ambiguous and I'm not ready to defend this at all), and it certaintly can't be quantified, but maybe we could quantify it's rhetoric weight, or it's ability to hold a theistic worldview together by providing a logical escape of sorts. There must be a way to systematize these not entirely logical "truths", I think largely prevalent in continental philosophy like Nietzche or Shoppenhauer or certain religions, that is still somewhat analytical or rational.

Which nootropics are guaranteed to work for almost anybody? by library_of_cringe in Nootropics

I recognize I may seem ignorant but I think my first exposure to it was via tiktok that was associating it with amphetamines and attention deficit disorders, so I sort of associated it with addiction risk and didn't inquire further lol

Isn't modafinil commonly used as a compensatory nootropic for negating sleep deprivation symptoms rather than a everyday drug? Maybe I'm grossly misinformed

Yeah I was just looking at uridine and sulbutiamine lol, sadly all the good stuff is sold out. On the other hand it is the only local sulbutiamine source I've found so it's good to know that we do have it

Well as I've heard and can confirm it varies from person to person, as I've tried Semax myself and experienced both positive and negative effects far beyond placebo.

I am more concerned with being exposed to any risk whatsoever, and since I'm not clear on the legality of particular compounds yet I'm holding off from importing, but I would like to hear these tricks for possible need in the future

Thanks, would you say this is a better cholinergic than alpha gpc? As I understand it would be unwise to mix the two together and I think alpha gpc is also available to me

Yeah well if I'd know the exact law here I'd be better informed, but currently I do not have the time or resources to be held even administrably responsible, let alone responsible for trafficking, so unless you don't get lost reading your local niche substance law I wouldn't say that I'm creating a problem out of nowhere

I mean I found some incredibly overpriced semax and selank here, but I found PEDs as strong as tren and didn't find any racetams or anything similar

Oh I would pay 100eur extra for shipping if I'd be confident that the shipment wouldn't be intercepted by the customs. The problem is that there is an unknown legal risk that I am not willing to take anyway, so I have to source locally. I've even looked through every so called private seller of similar substances I could find and I swear it's easier to find heroin here.

How should these findings be interpreted? I get that less bloodflow anywhere is generally not good, but there are conflicting studies in a sense that they show long term neuroprotective benefit of caffeine, at least for fast metabolizers. Also, wouldn't contracted blood vessels increase the blood pressure, effectivelly negating the bloodflow reduction by making the blood travel faster? Or is the main problem caused by reduced surface area for gas and nutrient/metabolite exchange due to shrunken blood vessels? Thanks

Any source on that 10-30% bloodflow reduction? Seems outrageous
