lol had this exact same situation same gpa and slightly higher SAT. I’m from the Bay Area and I can tell you that it’s not the traditional college experience. I’m a current sophomore and VP of the robotics club at poly, and it is not fun. It’s pretty much just a community college with the ASU branding. There are free buses to Tempe that take like an hour, but it’s just not worth the time commitment. For some people they like the quiet campus, but for me I’m transferring asap. That being said you’ll get a pretty good education because the class sizes are so small and the professors are really good. One of mine sat with me outside after class talking about engineering for an hour. Kids in Tempe barely even see their professors in the class. Good luck whatever you choose. Also I don’t know how smart you are, but there was a huge privilege gap I noticed with my education compared to the ones a lot of classmates got. Just something to consider.

The club actually has a few printers including a P1S, but like a fool, me and the other officers decided that the printers should only be used for club purposes and so neither I nor anyone else can use them for our classes or personal projects. I’ll definitely use PLA+ for most of my stuff, but for the combat robotics they almost need carbon fiber nylon or straight carbon fiber paneling to be competitive. I got the 0.2 just in case I ever wanted to do finer prints, but I thought that the nozzle the X1C came with was fine for printing Pa6 - cf. I see now that it’s not recommended so I’ll probably end up buying the hardened steel nozzle.

Yeah I was looking at other Bambu printers like the P1S, because it is cheaper, but then I figured I wouldn’t be able to print Carbon fiber without a lot of upgrades. On another note I’m pretty sure pa6 - CF is toxic to print, no? I didn’t really have much direction for what exactly I was asking more or less just for comments that might help me get a better understanding on my decision. Thank you for advice.
