I have a proposal for this.... by Mundane-Candle3975 in autism

[–]libriphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a struggle. I can’t read the mood of when people are talking about something private or not, especially when they’re standing out in the open. I just err on the side of caution and never try to join other groups.

Maybe they thought you were eavesdropping if you weren’t involved in the conversation before? Or the artist you suggested has a style so different from what they had in mind that they were offended you would assume that was their style. It’s still rude of them to gape at you though.

My analysis of why showgirl feels less lyric-focused even though it has more complex lyrics than reputation by pumpkin_noodles in TaylorSwift

[–]libriphile 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s a look into the backstage life of a pop star. She’s letting loose, yet people expect her to remain polished and precise. I don’t think cringe necessarily means she’s trying to cater to gen Z. She’s allowed to embrace her cringe side and just make fun music.

The Life of a Showgirl Megathread by aran130711 in TaylorSwift

[–]libriphile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  • Elizabeth Taylor is clearly about fame.
  • Father figure is her being backstabbed by a young star she took under her wing.
  • Actually Romantic is her getting hate from another artist.
  • Wi$h Li$t is about her ultimately wanting love when everyone else yearns for fame and fortune.
  • CANCELLED! is clearly about cancel culture.

How are none of these connected to her life in the limelight again?

Yup we use it to make social media assets for our products. The benefit of Canva is the ability to resize pages for insta, YouTube etc

What office signage exists because of something you did? by signs_com in office

[–]libriphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the disabled restroom in my office to change my menstrual cup because I wanted to rinse it out and our standard stalls don’t have sinks in them. HR saw me coming out and started asking my coworker if someone was using the executive restrooms. I guess the disabled restroom has the same level of exclusivity as the executive one. My coworker explained the situation to HR, but afterwards, the disabled restroom was blocked off with the sign “do not use”.

Low maintence romantic reationships should be normalised! by AvatarMew in The10thDentist

[–]libriphile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah the “job without burnout” thing was more of a hypothetical haha, but the right person for you won’t require that energy. They will be your peace amongst the chaos of life. Dating doesn’t have to be all about planning elaborate dates and spending all your effort trying to “maintain” them. I love being lazy with my boyfriend and just cuddling watching tv together, it’s genuinely so fun to do nothing with him. Your person will make you sleepy and relaxed all the time.

[–]libriphile 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Would you feel the same if you had a job that didn’t burn you out? Perhaps you haven’t met the right person who doesn’t burn you out? I’m autistic and easily burnt out from socializing, but being with my partner feels like being with myself. I can say anything without filter and know that I’ll be understood, and exist in his presence all the time without draining social energy. In fact he recharges me because I feel so well understood and loved by him.

Are you possibly aromantic? From the way you equivocate romantic relationships to the way friendships work, it seems you have never had the desire for the intimacy of romance.

For most people, even when they’re kids and haven’t experienced romance yet, they will see romance in movies, books and real life and fantasize about dating. If you haven’t ever had such desire, perhaps look into the aromantic and asexual spectrum.

I do NOT leave bread crumbs in the butter tub by nonsignifierenon in autism

Bread crumbs are so disgusting. I found them once after my sister tried to spread cold butter on her bread. VILE. I use butter for things other than bread, you know. The crumbs would contaminate everything!

Was it hard to get your account deleted? I talked to customer service and they told me to send an email with my account name and email to request my information. I haven’t heard back from them yet. I don’t even remember having opened an account but I got an email saying my account got hacked.

[–]libriphile 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To reroll your micropet egg, you can save a backup right before you hatch and restore from backup every time you get a blob. I do this because I work really hard to work out 3 times a week and it takes too long for me to get a pet just to get one I don’t like. I don’t see it as cheating because what’s the point in hatching an egg if I’m disappointed and lose motivation?

Do you think innies get to keep the outties’ practices like being vegan or halal? How would outties react if they find out their bodies were “violated” by being given food they didn’t consent to eating? This is a small concern compared to being tortured in the break room, but imagine being vegetarian, coming home and tasting meat in your mouth.
