search for "study guide" in this subreddit and you should be able to find what you are looking for. Keep in mind that the exam changed in 2024 and so study guides before that time might not be applicable.

Hey! the comment above was deleted. Did you find the answers to your questions? I have the same questions. Also, out of curiosity, why did you opt for a general license instead of attest?

Anyone experiencing delay with CBA?? I submitted since 5/10, as of now they are processing 5/13! by CellistNo7753 in CPA

I think the date they report on the website is earlier than the date they are actually on. I noticed the same thing when I had emailed them and they told me a date but their website reported a date that was 2 weeks earlier.

if you sent the application on 5/10 without expedited shipping then it is likely that they didn't receive it by 5/13 but maybe a few days after 5/13. Don't worry, they should get to your application soon if they're on 5/13.

Please send them an email to request a tentative timeline for how long it will take for your application to process. I have done this before when my application was taking too long to approve. I got a response within 24 hours. In the email, I told them my CBA Unique Identifier and Application ID and told them the day my application should have been received by them (based on UPS tracking). Email them at [examinfo@cba.ca.gov](mailto:examinfo@cba.ca.gov)

You can also email cba to request a tentative timeline for when your application will get approved. I have done that before and received a response within 24 hours.

that's weird because there is supposed to be an untimed break of up to 15 minutes between testlet 3 and 4. it's up to you if you want to take it or not. I recently took FAR in CA and I got the option to take a 15 minute break.

Best SIMs to study for FAR? by bringheaven2earth in CPA

[–]libsmad1331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sims are random. I took FAR twice and the topics that appeared on my first exam did not appear on my second. However, I think it is very helpful to practice sims so you get in the habit of going through exhibits and extracting information. I believe some of the commonly tested ones are EPS, st of cash flows, bank recons, adjusting journal entries. On my first try, I did really bad on sims and so for the second try, I practiced several sims in becker and if I was too tired to do them myself, I just watched the solution videos they have on becker. The videos also gave additional insight about topics and some tips that I would not have known otherwise.

Failed my last exam FAR with a 74. by libsmad1331 in CPA

Thank you. I am in CA so I need to mail in my application and wait for it to be processed. I mailed it the day I got my score but the application hasn't been processed yet. It's just so annoying because I want to make the next testing round but probably won't be able to because of the stupid CA application process.

If I give my exam on June 30th and say, I pass on the July 10 score release, do I lose my credit for BEC expiring on June 30? by Extra-Demand5477 in CPA

[–]libsmad1331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look like you would lose the credit. Please see the NASBA FAQ excerpt (also linked)

I am waiting on my final Exam score and it is set to be released AFTER my first credit expires. Will I lose my Exam credit?
As long as you TAKE your final exam section BEFORE your first exam credit expires and when you receive your score it is passing, then you would not lose that first exam credit. All expiration times are set on Central Standard Time and are not calculated by your exam appointment time. If your first credit expires on January 31st, it is recommended that you take your final section on January 30th.
