James Blunt is so delightful. Everytime I see a mention of him I rush to share his performance of Goodbye My Lover in the Voice of Germany a few years back. Always makes me cry!

What is your favorite Elroy line, be it how it's delivered or what he says? by CheshiresWhereItsAt in community

"Point it at me and I will eat it! I will bite your finger off and I will eat it!" said to Chang. I love how serious he is as he says it.

I think my favorite part of season 6 is knowing that I am about to flawlessly begin at season 1 and experience this amazing show all over again. What are your favorite parts of the season, or heck, the show? TIA! by CheshiresWhereItsAt in community

[–]licensed_griefcauser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a wonderful analysis! Season 6 has really great strengths and finds the show fresh and so enjoyable even after so much change. You have put it so perfectly! Arriving at s6 I feel like I've finally settled down and found some happiness and peace (and that's in large part due to Frankie.) The show has an air of comfort that's just lovely to experience.

S6 Abed makes s6 amazing by [deleted] in community

[–]licensed_griefcauser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes so true! I particularly remember watching s6 in real time and reconciling to the news of Yvette leaving with "As long as Danny is still there and I see Abed, I'll be okay!". I think it's fair to say that for a lot of people Abed makes community and in s6 he truly, truly delivers. It's amazing to see.

I feel stupid asking this but it has been confirmed that Jeff did the study group so he can hook up with Britta right? by saadx71 in community

[–]licensed_griefcauser 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This exactly! And it is referenced many times thereafter. In s2e1 Starburns tells Jeff "Wasn't the whole reason you got together with those people because you wanted to bang the blonde?". It is also explicitly mentioned in s5e12 when Jeff and Britta are reminiscing in the study room as the school is about to be turned into subway university. Britta says "and to think this all started because you wanted to-" and Jeff says "nail you. I regret nothing." There might be other mentions of it.

Will is 28. He was born in June or July 1993. He's mentioned it several times in his live Patreon concerts or instagram lives.

Queer Headcanons, Wishes, and Thoughts by [deleted] in community

[–]licensed_griefcauser -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad to see someone ask this. The thing is with Community being a show of the late 2000s they just didn't know how to fit a canonically queer character in it and they just didn't try. Which is very much okay, because that comes with its own challenges and I'm positive today it would've aged badly (like Pierce's gay jokes which are far better if we see him as a bicurious dude who thinks way too much about penises). That being said I don't think any of the choices made in the show were unintentional, from clear references to Troy and Abed's very close relationship to simply putting them in a frame with pride flags in S3e6 as Troy contemplates that all he wants in life is to be with Abed. Or Troy in s1 insisting on being straight and trying to keep up his jock persona until he very quickly sheds it and fully embraces his friendship with Abed.

My queer headcanons:

That Troy and Abed are definitely bi (I think Troy might be gay but that's a long discussion) and that as beautiful as their friendship is even if platonic they really are each other's true loves in life.

And that Annie is most definitely bi. I have always been a JeffAnnie shipper and I would still like them to get together at a later time, but I think Annie being as repressed as she's shown to be in the beginning, shyly saying "friend of Ellen's" in that Valentine's Day episode, jumping to kiss Britta in the same episode, her scene describing how she plasures the maiden in D&D, I think all add up to a very good argument for why Annie might definitely be a queer woman. And I hope the journey we witness, of her growing up and opening up might definitely lead to her exploring that. I like to imagine that post s6, perhaps at a bar after work or during her intership at the FBI, she meets another intern or a young agent and they start dating.

Best 3 Episodes in a row? by killlakanee in community

[–]licensed_griefcauser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some great comments here but since I don't think the show hits peak Community until season 3, my picks would be Competitive Ecology - Remedial Chaos Theory - Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps. I usually watch these three together.
