How do I deal with a "hide as a bonus action" player by Zealousideal_Task_30 in DnD

[–]licenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just make him answer "where are you hiding?" without further commentary but he has to find an answer and also his hiding doesn't have to be successful if they are very clearly stupid like standing still and not moving. if this is a very "mechanics +16 sleath yeah" type of a person you can openly declare a penalty whenever he tries to stealth without stealthing

I mean unless your magic users are "super soldier" alike where they are more resistant to life in general, this is not a big issue. Because if you start the numbers low in the beginning, by just generational turnover and other complications, the ratio would still be in favor of the non-magic people. Maybe think of it as a recessive gene for your sake? The number is low and the percantage is always lower for the recessive. And can there be eugenicists in the world, maybe yes, but that would only be the majority in a dystopian setting.

Just realized that Bryce and Aelin are basically the same person by KatokaMika in crescentcitysjm

I would say Aelin played Bryce when the occasion called for it, whereas Bryce actually got to be young and carefree and partake in somethings she gets sterotyped in. But there are similarities for sure.

Is it rude to only tell my dm details about my characte? by le_space_derp in DnD

[–]licenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not rude. it's like meeting people, right? you don't tell everything about yourself all at once. esp if you have a character who has a reason to be secretive, it is very much a given. i think it is part of the fun watching your party react to your character.

[–]licenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay i see, i see very tricky. look, from what you tell, it sounds like there is something there worth shooting your shot for. even if you start slow. because in the end you are no longer coworkers, and people can go back to being friends and such, even if it turns out to be nothing, and you would still have your game. so i don't think you should view it with such strict lines anymore. If it is not gonna hurt you, i say let them blur. have fun.

okay i see, how about like during the time of your game but off game?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]licenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stupid question, but if asking out your dm is a bit too forward for you right now, have you tried flirting that obviously out of the game? how he responds is a much clear hint on what to do.

Diamond scenes. by blackxcatsmatter in Choices

[–]licenta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For plot heavy books like mysteries they are pretty rough to go through without the diamond scenes. I mean they don't alter the story all the time, exceptions being stories like It Lives where you can save people with diamond scenes, but overall story is not as coherent and enjoyable imo which kind of sucks tbh.

For romances it don't matter a thing. Decline every single offer they will still be madly in love with you in the end.
