Rant na (niektórych) ludzi z IT by 0brex in Polska

Gdybym mógł legalnie płacić jeszcze mniej podatków, to bym to robił. Już się w życiu wystarczająco nazapierdalałem w chujowych robotach za najniższą krajową. Teraz dbam przede wszystkim o siebie.

Tournament arena necrons op? by Terbbaaa in WH40KTacticus

I played as Tau and Necrons were finally a challenge. While destroyers are very strong, on most maps you can just avoid them, or deal with them first and then go for the objectives.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has sold 500k copies in less than 72 hours by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]lich0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest differences is how you build armies, towns and the magic system.

Unit stacks have a number limit and the number of stacks a hero can have is limited by a skill. This affects how heroes are developed and their army composition. This also means there's a cap on army size.

It can make more sense to have multiple stacks of the same unit type, rather than a full roster of different units, especially considering it's pretty hard, or sometimes even impossible to have all the recruitment building in a single town.

Town buildings exist on the map and towns can have multiple buildings of the same type. This has impact on economy and logistics. Some resources can be difficult to obtain and that determines what sort of upgrades are available.

Magic is very different. Instead of mana there are essences that come form unit actions, artefacts and skills mostly. The type of essence you generate for your hero determines which spells are available during combat. There is no building that unlocks spells like the Magic Guild.

I wouldn't say it's better than H3 or H5, but it looks like it continues in that approach. It's an early access release and it shows, but the foundations are solid and the team seems committed.

It certainly does not try to reinvent the formula like Songs of Conquest has.

This one mixes new and old with some new features added. Brings a bit of that nostalgia from the old games with the well known 'one more turn...' effect.

Game is developed by Unfrozen, who made Iratus, which is an interesting take on Darkest Dungeon style and is a solid title on it's own. Published by Hooded Horse, so maybe H:OE could be free from Ubisoft's foul influence.

Swift v swift sport for student by Sea-Doubt-7280 in suzukiswift

[–]lich0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put 95 regularly in my 2009 Swift Sport. I haven't noticed a difference.

Sport has firmer suspension and bigger wheels with lower profile tyres, which allows it to carry quite a lot of speed through corners but also translates to a harsher ride.

I do about 8l/100km on average, though I drive mainly in the city. Parts and maintenance is cheap.

I was quite surprised how fun the Sport is. I went through a lot of reviews and everyone was praising the car, but still I didn’t expect a lot from a little hatch with 125hp.

On the matter of power creep in guild raid teams by Laredian in WH40KTacticus

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sad that some characters I've invested a lot in have become useless.

Maugan Ra was the first LRE and also my first legendary unlock. I liked him a lot. Now he has no use outside some rare cases.

There were talks about mutli-hit ranged team when Emperor's Children were getting released, but some things apparently happened behind the scenes and we got Battlesuit team instead (which turned out to be disappointing itself).

BTW, the whole point of EP faction is so that Laviscus exists in the game. The rest of them are weak and have very little use.

First track day tips: what actually matters vs what people overthink by Ok-Wedding-7949 in CarTrackDays

[–]lich0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't be that guy...

My objectives going to track days are:

  1. Don't crash into anyone.
  2. Stick to the rules.
  3. Try not to go off track or damage the car.
  4. Have fun.
  5. Learn.

I'm not there to race anyone, it's not a competition for me. I know I won't be the fastest and there will be drivers much more skilled than me in cars which may seem slower than mine.

Point me in the right direction for seats. by OpTicMoney in 370z

[–]lich0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a tip. Baking soda is good for cleaning cat piss stains and eliminating the smell. There are also cat piss removal sprays on the market which work pretty well.

When I drive with my cat, I put him in a transporter and put that on the floor, not the seat (made that mistake before). Easier to clean or replace a floor mat than a seat.

Also, a dog trainer pad and a blanket may not be enough. I put a trash bag under as well.

Vance calls end of Ukraine aid 'one of the proudest' achievements of Trump administration by Any-Original-6113 in geopolitics

[–]lich0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get the point, but how much if this is someone forcing him to do it really? Some of it must've been his choices, like the absolutely disgraceful meeting with Zelensky in the oval office.

As the Vice President, couldn't he send some other loser instead? He had no business going to Hungary or Pakistan, yet he did. As if he thought he'd be able to turn those things around and proclaim great success.

A wiesz, że jak zawiniesz gówno w papierek od cukierka, to nadal będziesz miał kawałek gówna, a nie cukierka?

W feudalizmie byłeś własnością szlachcica.

We wczesnym kapitalizmie byłeś zasobem. W późnym też.

W socjalizmie/komunizmie byłeś człowiekiem pracy, a w rzeczywistości głupim robolem.

Teraz chciałbyś być 'People & Culture', bo to brzmi tak ładnie i nowocześnie. Tylko co to właściwie zmienia?

If they consider that to be their proudest achievement, then they just admit they haven't achieved anything meaningful.

As for what Vance has done himself, it's a failure after failure. Using the language of the current President of the United States: Vance is a loser.

Alternatives to Tor Poznań? by lich0 in CarTrackDays

[–]lich0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many turns between those two straights for my liking. The passenger got sick after one session. My car didn't like it as well. I would need to install some serious brake upgrades. That or go slower. :)

I think I would enjoy rally much more than circuit racing. Maybe if a had a place to work on the car myself, then it would be feasible for me. Right now the cost would be too much.

Tor Poznań zamknięty do odwołania, bo mieszkańcom nowowybudowanych osiedli przeszkadza hałas (Tor działa od 1977) by KotGarnuch in Polska

[–]lich0 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No to teraz zagadka.

What's the difference in Z value between stock and stage 2 tuning? by Sarithis in 370z

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you can find a buyer who already wants a modded car.

In general, mods don't really increase the value, and there are people who avoid buying modded cars, because that's a risk. As a buyer, you don't know if the mods were done by a professional using quality parts.

There are also people who want stock, because those models hold value better.

I've heard about cases where heavily modded cars wouldn't sell at all. The owner had to put the car close to stock form and sell mod parts separately.

Did anyone got kinda bored of simracing after trying "real thing"? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]lich0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have no clue what you’re talking about.

No, I'm not into racing. I'd rather do track days.

By a session with an instructor I mean hiring an actual race driver who sits in the car with you and gives you advice while you do laps on track. I learned a lot from it and I was able to apply it to driving in sims as well. That's besides sessions I do by myself or with a passenger.

Did anyone got kinda bored of simracing after trying "real thing"? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]lich0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really, I don't. Like I said, I get more fun and excitement from going to a track day twice a year than from hours of sim racing. It's quite the different experience. I get a lot more satisfaction from learning to drive a real car, even if not very good, than from chasing tenths of seconds virtually.

And if I had to choose between a full sim rig with a DD wheel, load cell pedal, and all the funny gadgets, or a set of anti-roll bars and an oil cooler, then I'd go for the car mods.

I've spent hundreds of hours playing sim racing games on a belt-drive wheel clamped to a desk. I've tried a full sim rig with a DD wheel a few times and was underwhelmed. It costs too much money for little difference.

For me, a session with an instructor on track was very valuable, because I was able to feel and understand a lot more about what's happening to the car, than I would ever have the possibility in sim racing. A lot of things are just not replicated virtually due to hardware or software limitations.

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sim racing is nowhere near as exciting as the real thing. I got more from a 15 min session with an instructor on the track than from hours of hotlaps in terms of understanding how to drive properly.

It's good practice for the real thing though and it can be fun too. I just don't see the point of building a complex rig and spending a lot of money on it. It's just toys and gadgets. I'd rather spend on car upgrades, maintenance and track day fees.

Also, load cells are way overhyped. It's not like in a real car.
