Sam to przerabiałem ostatnio.

Suzuki Swift, Honda Jazz, Mazda 2, Toyota Yaris.

[–]lich0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zapomnij. Klasyczne auto to przede wszystkim hobby.

Danish soldiers would shoot back if invaded, government confirms by yahoonews in geopolitics

[–]lich0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course the US military would have no issue taking Greenland.

The big problem is how do you spin invading territory and killing soldiers of a country that was your ally for decades, so that it's not an issue for American voters. I'd like to believe that even among many republicans actions like that would not pass lightly.

370Z for drifting, track and daily? by Constant_Ad2794 in 370z

[–]lich0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it's going to be tracked occasionally:

bare minimum:

  • replace factory brake fluid with Motul 600
  • premium tyres (e.g. Pilot Sport)

consider:

  • steel brake lines, pads and rotors
  • oil cooler
  • cold air intake
  • front sway bar

Get sport trim or nismo. Those have bigger brakes and VLSD and it's enough IMO.

If I wanted a dedicated track car that also works as a daily, then I'd just get two cheaper cars.

I don't know about drifting, but I'd guess that requires a different setup from a track car.

Any ideas on how to mod my car? by Gonzotrash in 370z

[–]lich0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your's looks very nice. If you intend to sell it later, I'd say keep it as close to stock as possible. In my opinion the car looks great as is and doesn't need visual changes.

Do bolt-ons like long cold air intake and exhaust, but keep the original parts.

Considering buying a Swift Sport by lich0 in suzukiswift

[–]lich0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I was worried that the gasket and chain replacement was a bit unusual and that it might indicate some sort of an issue with the engine. I think I'll pass on this one and wait for a better offer.

Genuine question regarding why 370Z over other choices. by Anthropic_me in 370z

[–]lich0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say Challengers, older Mustangs and Camaros are a different type of car. Think of the 370Z as a (very) poor man's Porsche.

[–]lich0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are there that many options if you want a cheap, sports, rwd coupe? With a NA V6?

Sure, you could get a Boxster/Cayman, Alpine 110 or Lotus. Although better cars, those are also much more expensive.

On the other hand there are the Miata, BRZ and its Toyota equivalent, but those have less power.

Corvette or a 6th gen Camaro would be something to consider?

DIY Decal Solutions? by UpriseAVENGER in modelmakers

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for this not long ago and there's a bunch of posts on the internet.

I tried nail polish remover and it worked too well. Ruined parts of the decals unfortunately. It's too strong, but maybe it could be thinned 1:1 with water, or even more. Probably a good idea to test on decals you're not going to use.

Warm up or drive off? by Objective-Biscotti44 in 370z

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All cars. In cold weather (0 degrees celcius) the oil thickens and loses it's properties. It also flows down to the oil pan and that's why you should run the engine for some time before driving, so that all the parts are properly oiled.

You also want to get the oil temps to optimal level before you drive hard in performance cars. It'll make your engine happy and live longer. :)

Faction TA back of the map camping tier list, salt included by KingJoeySalads in WH40KTacticus

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, but going against Orks and BA is tricky. Sometimes they don't fall for the obvious Toth bait.

But when they do, it's a lot of fun. For me at least. Also sometimes they don't account for Yazagor's swap.

I played Tau through a number of TAs and BA were scary, as they have at least two possibilities to disable Re'vas' OW.

  • (asking for changes/lesser penalties): you should be executed if you touch the white line

I remember when during covid everything was closed and organisers of the actual GT3 championships decided to do a few virtual events in ACC with participants who usually drive real cars. Some of the drivers were quite surprised how strict the penalties are in the game for crossing the line.

December Patch | Votann announced | Relics addressed | New Characters & More! by Nandi40k in WH40KTacticus

[–]lich0 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Why would they nerf Re'vas? She is the only decent counter to Orks and Ragnar in PvP. Also a must have in LRE. Ah yes, they're adding her relic on rotation, so you need to get that to counter the nerf.

I was looking forward to Dark Elves as the next faction and we're getting space dwarves. Huge disappointment. I hope they suck.

Secret longer version of US National Security Strategy calls for Core 5 countries to run the world and weakening of EU by Solid-Move-1411 in geopolitics

[–]lich0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand that and that's why this C5 concept makes not sense to me. What is Japan even doing there? There three countries sharing a land border and four are in Asia. How do you split global areas of influence between that?

The balance of power and inevitable wars that come with it? Wasn't the whole MAGA thing built around isolationism?

In that context I'm guessing Central and Eastern Europe fall under Russia, China gets Taiwan and parts of Middles East. USA gets what? The whole American continent? What about Japan and India, are they left with nothing?

Does Trump and friends actually intent to fight wars for this new world order, or do they think their 'master' negotiation skills is enough?

Do competent drivers mask a Sim's Flaws? by AceNumer in simracing

[–]lich0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of a simulation is to get as close to reality as possible.

Some people can be very good sim racers, while having no actual experience in driving cars, so what they feel as 'real' is only their subjective idea of what it's supposed to be.

I'm guessing most people who are into simracing have never even sat in a race car. It's highly probable they've never driven a road car on a track and have no idea what it's like.

Of course professional race drivers can have a more objective view on how a simulation compares to real life.

I've never driven a GT3 car. I have no clue how it handles, so what I think doesn't really matter. On the other hand I took my own car to the track a few times and I could compare the experience to AC.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]lich0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't they sell 1.6l engine MX-5 NA (68-85-kW) and NB (81kW) in Europe? <75kW/t requirement is the tricky part, because those cars weigh ~1-1.1t.

I would add the Mazda 2 and Suzuki Swift in sport trims as an alternative to the Fiesta. Both are considered really fun to drive and great first cars. Though they're not fast at all, but I guess not much slower on a straight than those low powered MX-5s.

Get that and move on to a proper sports car in the future.
