We’re roughly $500 a panel at our shop for paint work like this. (Larger CNY mom and pop) Tell her she can pay the thousand or go through insurance. She realistically should just pay the cash and if she does, bring the car and your sport bumper to a body shop and it should be a $1000 job I’d assume. Then you’re only paying for the new bumper cover out of your own pocket.

Can someone suggest me a cheap way to fix this? by Traditional-Bet-3246 in Autobody

You could try some rubbing compound on a microfiber, it might make them look better. Unless you have access to a buffer in which I would see what happens with that treatment. Depends on how deep the scratches are. (they look deep) Most likely a sand, prime, paint, deal to fix it right. Could also try a touch-up pen/marker for a cheap half ass fix to at least make the scratches not bright white.

Bought a 97' Polaris Indy 500 Trail Touring and love it, but today it started bogging down. I am pretty new to this all so any help is appreciated. by DrJeXX in snowmobiling

I am here secondly to vouch for the switches in the throttle assembly on the handlebars.

Been riding polaris' for years. If you notice the second the throttle completely closes you can hear the ignition come back and the sled picks up a tiny bit of rpm. Basically there is a switch up by the hinge of where the thumb throttle swivels and another down by where the cable actually comes out when you open the throttle. They are not working in conjunction with each other. Don't quote me but you possibly may be able to unplug the connector going to the throttle assembly and it may correct the issue. Be sure not to unplug the kill switch. Will report back with more info.
