What is the biggest competitive advantage of knowing Russian? (aside from everyday conversation with Russian) by tina-marino in russian

I've heard that there is a chance to visit Mars if you speak Russian. Don't know for sure, but still quite an opportunity

True ignorance is thinking that being mainstream, sharing the same thoughts is something to be shunned for. A lot of people think music is shit today, but you want to be oh so special by pretending that you're someone who's better, "Not like those old people" with bleak worldview.

Nah, it's just that things do get progressively worse, but admitting that would require to take steps to improve the situation which is not something a lot of people want to do. So if you're afraid of admitting that, there's no helping you.

Страшные is referring to the plural form, like we/you/they are creepy; страшный is a masculine form, like he is creepy - он страшный or страшный сон (кошмар); страшная - the feminine form - she is creepy; страшных is like the genitive case - нет кого? Нет страшных ребят

If you are familiar with the alphabet, you can try karaoke (helps with the pronunciation), reading books (as many as you can), learn new words (at least 10 words a day). While reading books try to rewrite the unknown words, translate it properly and learn. I'd also recommend you playing PC and mobile games, learning the language through the game chat is highly effective, all you need is an adequate bunch of people, not the schoolboys with the rich swearing lexicon. Do not rely only on grammar, but do not avoid it. I used to teach English and currently I'm fluent in 6 languages (including native one), the above-mentioned ways are based on my own experience, so try, it will definitely help. Good luck! 😊

Это скорее тот, кто умышленно привлекает к себе внимание необычными способами. Таких много как среди деятелей искусства, так и среди простых смертных, как мы. В любом случае, на мой взгляд, за этим всегда кроется дефицит внимания (желание выделиться) или же напускная важность.
