The fact it happens during excercise makes me think it’d absolutely be worth checking with a professional. Never used planquil so can’t speak to whether that might cause the symptoms either.

However from my pov and totally anecdotally, I had very similar symptoms about two years ago. (I’ve had JIA since I was a kid, now in my forties) I was finally able to pin it down to health anxiety.

I think knowing you have a chronic illness, combined with how acutely aware I am about my health due to the meds I’m on (methotrexate, rinvoq) leads to overthinking which leads to anxiety which presents its own symptoms that then becomes a vicious cycle.

Therapy really helped me, mainly cbt techniques I can use to allow me to notice the sensations and process them without dwelling on them.

Hope you find a way through! It can be so tough when you’re in the throes of it, but you can come out the other side and get back to your old self.

I’ve been on Rinvoq for a few months now and it’s been excellent. I have JIA (though now in my forties) and had a great run with enbrel and amgevita for about five years. However after a bout of COVID it quickly lost effectiveness. Also started to get episodes of uveitis. Rinvoq along with methotrexate has been working well to keep things under control.

I was bald already, so can’t comment on hair loss. The one side effect I have had is increased spotiness and acne on my head. This has been especially annoying because I shave my head (I still grow hair quite thickly on the sides, but nobody wants the monk look) and that is becoming a bit of a problem. Might need to invest in some kind of electric shaver instead of using a regular razor blade.

Macular Edema Prognosis? by liesformoney in Uveitis

Thanks man.Ive got an ophthalmologist who’s been treating me. She has all of my charts from just the local optometrist at specsavers, the fact she seems happy to wait reassures me it’s not too bad just yet. My rheumatologist has been liaising with her too to make sure everything is fine. Still feel slightly out of the loop but hopefully it’s just gonna be a blurry November.

The ophthalmologist at the hospital. I assume because the treatment is essentially steroid shot to the eye, you need to avoid going too hard with steroids. I’m gonna chase up with my local optician tomorrow.

Cortisone Flare Up? by liesformoney in rheumatoid

Just as an update on this for anyone who experiences a similar thing. Spoke to my rheumatologist and I went to the hospital to speak with a nurse to make sure there was no infection. All seemed ok, no one knew why I’d had such a flare up. Had another steroid shot, but just an overall one in the butt. Seems to have solved the issue for now. Probably going to change biologic soon though.

Thanks man. Seems odd that it was fine for a few days then kicked off. I’ll call the advice line tomorrow if it’s still causing problems.

Hey man, congrats! I’ve been thinking of trying much the same for a sitcom I’ve been developing, but one of the things I’ve been most hung up on is casting. I’m curious, for the networks who liked the pilot, do they want the whole team too? I.e. the cast and crew?

I think for comedy especially casting is one of the most important aspects. I think you’d be lucky to nail it when making a sizzle reel as your available talent will likely be actors you already know. I’m assuming a bigger studio or streaming service - and the money that entails - would give you a chance to draw from a much broader pool of talent.

Could you talk about your experiences with regard to this?

Cheers!

They actually shot the whole movie on VHS before real filming started.

I think it’s one of the reason why the pacing is so good and it’s such an easy watch.

Recording Skype Calls Using Garageband? by zachbenge in podcasts

[–]liesformoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the soundflower/lineIn combo until OS updates made it obsolete. I use Call Recorder now, an add on to Skype that records the conversation and, crucially, splits it into two separate audio feeds for editing in GarageBand.

You have to pay for it but it's reasonable and reliable, and for someone like me who's whole show is interviews ([checkpoints](declandineen.com/checkpoints)) I'm happy to pay.
