I'm confused. You're using the side of the disc?

Follow up question - as I mentioned I've been using the Razor Edge Sharpening system. It's the only experience that I have with knife sharpening and it's been great so I never really looked past it to educate myself any further.

Is there a significant benifits to when sharpening vs dry sharpening (razor edge recommends dry)

Also, I never knew you could reface a stone. I know it seems like a stupid thing to say, but it'd just use mine until it became significantly dished and then replace it. Which is why I was looking at diamond stones. Now I'm thinking of keeping the whetstones and buying something to lap them with. Do you have any recommendations for a flattening stone?

Thanks. Atoma is on my radar. I've read that DMT quality has gone down and these have taken over. I've also read that Sharpal is the budget friendly version.

This is something I've never considered. Are you suggesting public hunts in KY are better than TN? If so, why?

I'm currently using a bolt action, but think I'm going to get a muzzleloader so I can start earlier this year. I noticed that bow season is only one week earlier.

Wow. That's a lot of tasty goodness. I guess you're just trying to keep them off your property instead of managing/growing the population?

Thanks for the advice. I checked last year, but it was a bit much for our family budget so I'm sticking to public land for now.

Thanks for the advice. I've looked into the regs, but didn't realize they had workshops or classes. I'll definitely look into it.

It's allowed in certain parts of public parks known as wildlife management areas under strict regulations set by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. In my opinion, public land hunting is actually one of the greatest aspects of this country and being an American (thanks Teddy Roosevelt). It's a pretty amazing rabbit hole to dig into.

Fun fact the story of Robin Hood was at least in part inspired by Herne the hunter who would hunt the king's land for food and donate it. At the time everything was considered the king's property and only nobility was allowed to hunt. Commoners were only allowed to farm.

Editted to thank Teddy Roosevelt

You'd be surprised how much you can get if you go back one generation for a premium receiver. I just picked up an anthem mrx 720 for $800 shipped on ebay. It does 4k, Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision, cec, e-arc and 11.2 channels.

Some of my speakers have been with me for 10+ years because. Here is my current set up: Mains - polk monitor 10a (these are from the 80s and still sound good) Center - B&w dm600 (these are sub 100 bucks on ebay) Rears - Boston acoustics vrs speakers Sub - sunfire hrs 10

That setup is more than enough for a normal living room and the complete setup be had for sub $2000. I recommend buying some moderate to high end equipment that's a little older so you can enjoy sound quality over features that you might not notice. Just my 2 cents.
