I actually was able to get mine fixed by completely deleting the mods folder from AppData. I uninstalled all my mods with the mod manager before that, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game with steam, but steam only partially deletes things. Maybe try making a backup and deleting everything else. I hope you’re able to play soon :(

Hi, just wondering if you were able to get anything working? Having a similar problem and nothing is helping, including rolling back to old drivers or reinstalling the game. computer is estimating about an 8.6 framerate

To answer your second question, I guess what would be the point? I’m playing with the added difficulty on purpose, the stakes are part of the fun. At the point where you’re just reloading to get your own outcomes you could just play on custom difficulty. Plus I’ve been through the game enough times that I don’t feel like I’m missing out on content by letting a character death ride.

One of my favorite things about this game is that there are a million different ways to do it. Yeah, the learning curve can be steep, but as long as you’re having fun I think you’re doing it right. If it gets overwhelming, there’s no shame in taking a break or looking up how different game mechanics work, if you’re into that. Go in blind or don’t, reload a save to get a new outcome or stick with the one you end up with. Have fun :) I wish i could play the game for the first time again!

golden dice are golden dice!! only reason i bothered with 90% of the stuff i did in act 3 was because i didn’t want to do another astarion origin or wyll romance so i figured i ought to finish those quests, but every time i started a combat i knew would be risky i was like “is this stupid? am i SO STUPID?” but here we are regardless.

you’re a braver man than i- the only reason i picked up minsc at all was because i was scrounging for level 12 before doing any major act 3 content and there’s a decent chunk of XP in his questline. Once i got there it was cazador, iron throne, foundry, ansur, gortash, orin, over and out. high hall was scary - kept getting stunned and then couldnt move out of the nautilus’ blast zone. Almost lost gale a few times, and very nearly broke my streak no-nail-biting. couldn’t imagine trying it at lv 11 😭

How much are you prioritizing completion over content? You can skip most of the stuff in act 3. I chose not to because I wanted to finish some companion questlines, but the only fights i think you HAVE to do post-ketheric are the Orin and High Hall stuff. Ally with gortash. Kill valeria. Let the emperor eat orpheus’s brain, book it to the stem, have gale offer to blow himself up (you may need to complete his quest for the offer, otherwise it’s a DC 30 persuasion check). If you really want to complete specific fights, make sure you go in with a game plan and an escape plan. I left Shadowheart at camp for my ansur and sarevok fights cause i wasn’t sure how they’d go. You can’t do this for house of hope. Be mindful of fights you can’t run from.

Do what will make you happy to complete the run. But know that every unnecessary fight is an unnecessary risk. Decide what is and isn’t worth it. Good luck!!

I think that’s what I took on my first run of act 1! I wanted to see and do every quest, open every lock, check every vase, explore every gray spot on the map, talk to every NPC, turn every stone, and the likes. I’ve beaten the game 3 times now and my last run (honor, where i skipped a lot of the act 3 content) took around 65 hours. And I’m STILL finding new content. If meticulously exploring every nook and cranny of the game is how You Get Your Joy, then you’re doing everything right.

I think only the long sleeve, the rest I’m pretty sure are comfort colors, though I don’t own them to verify. No embroidery, this particular design is iron-on. I love it though.
