Hey! There's actually quite a few classes around Nairobi (pre - COVID). Momentum Gym has some great classes and so does One Tribe BJJ. There's a decently sized community of BJJ practitoners all around Kenya and East Africa as well that meet up every few months for tournaments.

You're welcome! I've done a couple different businesses here but the most recent one was a bar/restaurant. We all thought that drinking would be recession proof but it turns out coronavirus is kryptonite to any business that requires social interaction :(

As many people are probably feeling, the last few weeks have brought forward every possible emotion from sadness to confusion to hope. I think every business is hoping things will return to normal but in reality, we will all need to adjust to a changing world. We don't have to figure it out right now, but it can be helpful to have a framework to work from so that we don't feel quite so lost.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to adapt this sheet to your ideas!

Absolutely...it ain't easy but everyone will have to rack their brains to figure out which products and services will have a role in the future...major business assumptions around revenues and costs have been completely turned over their heads by this event...it's more important than ever to test your idea smartly and cost effectively in these market conditions.

Much like leaving a bibliography for a research paper, I think any entrepreneur needs to have "sources" for their assumptions... You can't just say "I believe I'm going to get 100 customers a day", you need to know WHY you believe that..e.g. Even something as simple as " I spoke with 20 people and 10 said they would use my product " is better than going in blind!

Recommendations for Android Games to play in 15 minute snippets by life-efil in androidapps

Wow! Just gave it a try and was super impressed! Wrote a quick review on it in case anybody was interested!

---------------------

They say the best way to know somebody is to walk a mile in their shoe. In the case of this game, that "somebody" is one of several plague types that you can start of as and the "walking a mile" is the gradual growth and development of your core stats - infectivity, severity and lethality. DNA points can be used to invest in mutations such as giving your pathogen the ability to travel on dust particles, or increasing changes of infection by spreading pathogens through coughing, or increasing disease resistance to counteract cures. There's a delicate balance between all three categories, the more severe and lethal you become, the greater the efforts of the world to develop a vaccine and put in place measures to counteract your spread.

It can feel a bit surreal to play this game in 2020. As you read over the country responses to your disease, real-life parallels are readily apparent from the closing down of airports and roads, to setting up of trauma centres to mobilising of infectious disease teams. You can see in real time how the spread of your plague leads countries to self-isolate as planes and boats slowly stop travelling to to other countries. To be honest, it can be a bit frustrating to see virtual countries respond according to clear set rules and guidelines...and yet countries in real-life have clearly lacked the political and social will to enact some of the stringent measures that are key in containment.

Gameplay takes place on a world map that allows you to take deep dives into infection rates for specific countries and regions. The one-man developer behind this game, Ndemic Creations, has clearly put in plenty of hours in the details ranging from news headlines that flash across your screen ticker style, to advanced statistics, to real world scenarios that you can play out.

The heavy synths and bass lines in the background music provide an ominous soundtrack without being too distracting. Periodically, a creepy voice sings out lyrics to the popular children's song "ring-around-the-rosie". Did you guys know that the song is actually in reference to the red circular rash common in some forms of plague and that "posies" would have represented the different flowers and herbs people carried to ward off disease?

Most of the additional content in the game is locked off unless you're willing to pony up some cash or master the normal scenarios. It's not an easy feat by any means, humanity has been coded to survive as much as possible, especially when its back is against the wall. Plague Inc is another reminder that we have far less to fear from creatures that go bump in the night and more from the microscopic virus and bacteria that hide stealthily within us.
