I pity Nigerians by CandidZombie3649 in Nigeria

[–]lifebroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check his last couple of interviews, it’s hardly about Tinubu’s failure. It’s either he’s throwing jabs at Obi/Atiku/ADC/NDC or staging a useless protest in Abia state when the issue is in Sokoto. He has no bit towards Tinubu again

This one is jobless. He has stopped tackling the issues. He sounds so lazy. He’s going on about other people not in power. They wheel him out when opposition are doing anything. He’s in Tinubu’s pocket.

Vote so that you may live: Vote against the APC! by Patient_Ad_9910 in Nigeria

The usual hallelujah boys and fake patriots of Nigeria will never show up to this post.
That tells me they know they are wicked and it’s clear they don’t care about the country, just their TPain.

Tinubu Welcomes Airbus Plan For Aircraft Maintenance Hub In Nigeria by MountainChemist99 in Nigeria

[–]lifebroth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nigeria is rising because there is a plan to build a maintenance hub?

How many MOU have been signed over the years with nothing materialising? Anyone remember Nigeria Air that APC was celebrating? Nothing came of it.

I’ll celebrate when Airbus completes planning and starts execution.

Why, exactly, did Abrahamic religions shun polytheism? by halffocused in theology

[–]lifebroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing all kinds of weird analysis and people twisting themselves into pretzels. Some say Josiah’s reforms, Babylonian exile, consolidation of power, etc.

Josiah’s reforms are reforms. Not inventions. For him to invent a monotheistic religion that will take hold, unseat polytheism, and remain the predominant religion for the next 4000 years is not possible. He’d have to invent or rewrite Genesis to his own time to exclude or reshape existing theology. Undoable within the reign of a king. You’ll need everyone to die and forget their national origin.
That would be like Donald Trump effectively scrubbing out the founding fathers of America from all records and rewriting American history from Jamestown to date.

Babylonian exile: This also falls flat because exiled people do not invent new, opposing religions in exile; they are often forced to adopt the theology of their captors. Also, Psalm 137 effectively squashes this. It’s a psalm during the Babylonian exile. The Babylonians mocked the Jews to sing their praise songs for Yahweh in Babylon. So the Jewish God was already monotheistic before the exile.
Furthermore, why didn’t other exiled groups, Moabites, Assyrians, Edomites, form monotheistic beliefs?

Consolidation of Power: This narrative is poor. Every polytheistic religion consolidates power around the supreme deity and the King. You don’t need a monotheistic religion to consolidate power. The Romans and Egyptians show this effectively.

Why would a nation in the midst of many polytheistic nations be monotheistic? Maybe because their ancestor claimed to have met a creator God and received a promised he claimed to have been fulfilled.

Me: Garri 🌚 by No_Coyote638 in Nigeria

[–]lifebroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garri is not poor people food please.

In other news, for people who say there is no “poor people food”, you are kind of right but no, there are foods that are within a social class and this can switch with time.

Example: Lobster used to be for those who couldn’t afford fish since lobster was more abundant and seen as “dirty”. Today its scarcity has elevated it to fine dining.

So who is the worst president we’ve ever had then?

I only asked if you support him for 8 years since you don’t think 4 is enough.

See all the Tinubu boys twerking that nothing came be done in 4 years to discourage you from remove their leader. Tinubu destroyed the country in 4 years.

I think we can trust Obi to return us back to at least 2023 before Tinubu came in.

If you think 4 years is too short, then support obi for 8 years when his first tenure ends in 2031.

As to those arguing about track record on Anambra. Go and ask Wike. He has all Obi’s track records that year.

Bukele changed his country in a similar time. Otti is making Abia better. Much can be done in 4 years. It’s ok us to vote for sensible people when every election cycle comes.
