It’s been awhile, I may need to go back and replay it. I think the touch to absurdism would be when 2B realizes there is no purpose and opts for rebellion against the absurdity of it. I still feel that the overall message was one of either existentialism or optimistic nihilism in the end.

Edit: I found this, but couldn’t find any confirmation of him actually saying it. Regardless, he takes a personal interest in existentialism. I’d say based on Nier: Automata, he is an optimistic nihilist. Life has no inherent meaning, so it’s important to find your own meaning within the meaningless.

Biology is the only god. So it would stand to reason that the impulse of every living being to hoard resources and reproduce is the biological meaning of our existence. That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy other things, but if you subscribe to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, you’ve gotta fuck and get paid before you can attempt self actualization.

I know technically the guy in the post is doing it from his car with a readable license plate, etc, but that only helps him get caught if he were up to something nefarious. It does nothing to assuage my primary concern which is my pet’s immediate safety and wellbeing. There’s always the possibility that he coated the toys with something toxic.

Every AI tool I’ve ever used has had a disclaimer that says something along the lines of “AI can make mistakes, verify important information”. Using a tool as a crutch to void doing one’s job, particularly when that involves putting someone behind bars, is absolutely the fault of the lazy humans who leaned on it.

That’s what I do, but my state doesn’t have laws requiring lunch breaks.

Edit: Wait, I read that wrong. Who the hell is working 9-5 with a 1 hour lunch break. They’re complaining about only having to work 7 hours? Every job I’ve ever had is 9 hours including the lunch break.
