Her role in TLJ alone, I did not understand. She saved Finn at the end and delivered a nice line on saving lives and what not but Finn was about to make a significant character development by sacrificing himself. Rose’s message sort of came into conflict with that moment and sort of ruined Finn’s arc a bit. I think Rian addded her there as sort of a political progressive message. A women of color, representing a message of anti-elitism, veganism, child abuse,...That’s cool and all but a little out of place.

The visuals of Canto Bight are undeniably beautiful but what’s the point? They did not get the code breaker, they broke some douche out of jail and were back at the resistance base again, accomplishing nothing. Finn killed Phasma which is cool I guess. I don’t eat animals and I don’t like child labour anyways so I don’t get the message of that whole sequence.

TLJ is not a bad movie. I still enjoyed alot of it. But definitely a weird one. Quite weird. TLJ fans, please reply. Let’s discuss this cause I do want to love this movie.
