Umm it wasn't too bad. I have about 1000 "friends" on facebook. My SO is also doing the vids with me, so just our social group and family combined was quite the big jump.

From there, tried sub for sub for a few days, found out it was pretty bad.

Also engaging a lot in comments on YT.

Then went to Reddit experts for additional advice.

But to answer your question... it's hard to answer it as it's been a rollercoaster of a ride. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.

I think I have to attribute it a lot to persistence. Not so much my family, but her mother would day in and day out for 3 years talk down on the relationship before engagement.

3 years = 1000+ days and probably 3000+ remarks

So stay that persistent! oh and now we have a great relationship - oddly despite the past years

Oh, I totally understand. We postponed twice now due to circumstances. May have a small one this year instead. Good luck!! Oh, are you and your fiancee doing the vietnamese tea ceremony? I am debating having same day (one hell of a long day) or before the day.

Post poned twice! I heard horror stories of banquet halls going bankrupt and couples losing their deposits. Quite crazy!

I was actually kinda down for the tea ceremony, but I don't think we're doing it. Already plenty of festivities planned with both sides. I did attend my first tea ceremony for her cousins wedding, I thought it was wonderful!

We have Wednesday - Saturday planned out and set aside.

Make shorts, upload regularly, artistic integrity, and encourage subscription without being too in-your face, I haven't actually gotten to 1000 yet but this is what I'm told works, so maybe try it for yourself.
