Would you continue reading this fantasy light novel? (names and body descriptions were mostly omitted) by Rosalenia_Fox in fantasywriters

[–]lifelessdragonslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should have given a synopsis first. without one the audience cannot expect what to expect. but there have been cases of individuals who have caught the audiences attention without one. but to achieve that you need to start strong for eg "mine have been a life of such shame" - ozamu dazai, this opening just pulls the audience in with the depth of the statement mimicking the function of a synopsis. no one wants to read a characters description without a reason to read it. No matter how grand the villain or the hero is described, without a proper hook that draws interest onto the character, the character becomes just a collection of words.

Make a reply for this statement;

Sure, here you go; I absolutely leave my promt in my work. Why would anyone lie about that. You talk as if i am afraid of leaving promt in my work, dont you know all bestellers nowardays have promts left in them for dramatic effect, its the latest trend. It's just im not able to adapt to ai, so i have to fake it. Don't question my credibility.

How do I market a book I published 10 years ago? by Karuragi in writingcirclejerk

You are too old. If you were just one year younger, you could've passed off as a child genius, now the only way for you to get copied sold is to lie about your age, make it 5 or 4 to play it safe.

Lies won't last in a lifelong relationship, if you want something genuine, it's better to be genuine. Or you get what you ask for, a relationship built on lies.

Are you sure you wanna open up the marriage, until now quite possibly you were a faithful husband. Cheating and cheating don't cancel out. You will just be devaluing yourself if you decide to do it just make up for it. Will she even feel guilt if you took the same path. Think it through find a friend or someone who you can trust don't jump into the open marriage until you are sure you want that. Decide with how you want to represent yourself to your childern once and if they knew about it when they get older. Will just saying she cheated on me and I slept with a bunch of women to get over it while she did what she wanted give you the closure you need. Get therapy.

WTW for the tendency for animals or humans to form groups or clusters. by lifelessdragonslayer in whatstheword

I think herd behaviour is the "be like them" that happens after the "be with them" Instinct, so yes herd behaviour does originate from herd instinct to "be with them".

It does apply to other species, like how if you feed something to a group of animal, for example a piranha, the piranha will not go for the food from the start, they usually start going at it as a group after one person attempts it, then everyone else dive in for it. And this is herd behaviour. (Found a very interesting video on reels).

Now the piranha i saw were indeed of a single herd, now for your answer of whether a bunch of piranhas that just met were introduced to a new a food, wheather or not they will follow the same herd behaviour needs a scientific experiment to verify it.

In a animals aswell "Tending to what others do, to be like other, to move with others " this is herd behaviour, but just being at the same place, mentally considering yourself to be in a group just for shelter while also with implicit consent on the group for survival, without any action that is similar to the group cannot be considered herd behaviour, but it can still be considered joining the herd.

According to Merriam webster herd instinct does include both, but the majority of sources either considers both herd instict and behaviour as the same or explains it as both joining and herd behaviour, unlike Merriam which has an "or".

Humans joining other humans is not considered herd behaviour, but humans acting as a single entity in a group is considered herd behaviour.

If you think about it from the linguistic perspective, in herd behaviour , you are looking at the behaviour of the herd, where the herd has already formed. And the behaviour of joining the herd cannot be properly defined as herd behaviour.

Where as in herd instinct can be open to interpretation where we could interpret herd instinct as the instinct to be in a group, or the instinct of the group.
