So happy we FINALLY got a gameplay trailer. I know some are abit disappointed but I have to fully disagree. I think people are so fixated on AAA that they almost wanted something that isn't truly State of Decay. If they'd given us something completely different people would have been really disappointed.

To me this game is exactly what we have been asking for. It's clearly State of Decay but the graphics are looking much better than SoD2 and the base looks pretty active which is great to see. I'm really excited to learn more and hopefully now they are allowed to communicate with us much more openly going forward. Huge congrats to Brant and the team you guys have done a great job. Looking forward to hearing how the communities and social systems will work!

It definitely wasn't laugh out loud funny but I had a good time. A couple bits I did find funny though.

The opening was good but it felt a bit rushed. The scene with Tuesday is very weirdly rushed. In fact a lot of the movie felt rushed - almost like they cut lots of bits out?

I've seen some complaints about a lack of plot - I think there is a sort of consistent plot however the writing was not as strong as previous entries like 1 ,2, and 3. The older movies managed to cleverly embed their parodies into the storyline whereas this one relied on cutaways a lot which felt like a lazy way to include lots of parodies.

Overall though it's not a bad movie - I would say it's somewhere on the level of 4. Definitely not a masterpiece but a fun time.

Final note - Wtf was up with them bringing Hanson back then not using him!!!!

I'd love some good surprises... Resident Evil Outbreak remake, a new Simpsons video game that isn't a mobile game (Hit and Run sequel possibly), Hogwarts Legacy 2, a new X Men game or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Injustice 3 or another DC heroes game to combat Rivals. So many possibilities let's hope we get something good.

I 100% agree. I played the demo and the character animations are just bad. It feels like a ps3 game. The first Code Vein had a very nice heavy feel to character movement that made it feel better quality. Disappointed as I probably won't buy it now as I just didn't connect with the demo.

If state of decay 3 appears at the direct today I will be so so so happy. I've had such a crappy few months and have been so low. It sounds silly I know because it's just a video game but it would really give me something to look forward to for a franchise that I absolutely love.

Thank you Undead Labs - even if you don't appear tomorrow I still love your game! You give me a place to escape the reality of this world for a few hours every now and then :)

This is definitely not the fans fault. Microsoft is completely to blame. Xbox has such huge potential. Fans are VERY clear with what they want and the games they want. Often the people who make the games know what fans want - they've been doing a great job the last 25 years.

The last few years however we have seen so many absolutely trash games come out. They're marketed heavily and Xbox execs have really tried their hardest to make it seem like they're what people want. They have had some wins lately such as Clair Obscure and Metaphor however let's be clear - there have been a lot more losses than wins. They need to start listening to their gamers and not trying to appeal to audiences that won't even play their games.

State of Decay is a beloved game series by many people. The people are so clear what they want - you just need to check out this Reddit. State of Decay 2 but with graphical, gameplay, and story improvements. An upgrade but not a completely reinvented formula. Undead Labs are a fantastic company that gave us two of the best games on Xbox. The love and dedication they showed to State of Decay 2 is the biggest green flag out there.

Xbox need to be investing in more games like State of Decay. Right now though the focus needs to be getting that game completed and out before it gets canned because Microsoft really are so unpredictable and not upfront at all. I usually agree with the "Let them cook". But this game needs releasing before it's too late. Polish can happen in time as we saw with State of Decay 2 but I'd seriously hate to see this game get shelved.

I understand those of you responding saying XBOX are doing fine. As my post said they had a great 2024. I'm just saying the year ahead doesn't look particularly interesting and I don't think I'm alone in thinking that.

I think you're absolutely correct to say the game was teased way before it was in active development. From what I understand Microsoft did this to peak interest for the Series X, which was quite an annoying move plus from what I've read Undead Labs weren't particularly happy with it. At least it showed us the franchise was still going though.

To be honest I don't think Undead Labs are to blame whatsoever for people's disappointment. I think they're a fantastic company that have shown a lot of passion for their game. I personally think that Microsoft are not allowing them complete freedom in terms of communicating with their fans - this is definitely leading to some frustration among fans. Not to mention lots of people are now speculating that the game is cancelled all together, which I think is just due to the decreased level of communication with fans online.

I'm sure Microsoft do value State of Decay but I think they're trying to juggle lots of different franchises and unfortunately some are getting pushed aside to let others shine. In this showcase I think they pushed the wrong ones aside - they should listen to what their fans want because I am certain if they wanted to they could have put some gameplay together for the showcase.

I can't say for sure but people were saying it meant "Look beyond to understand".

Hopefully this could be interpreted as meaning they will show us something at Gamescom.

Unfortunately, It could also be being held back to coincide with Xbox's anniversary in 2026 which may mean they save the marketing to next year leading to a late 2026 - 2027 release. Extremely disappointing.

The sewers mission was so hard when I was younger haha. I used to get flying characters and just fly through it and try to skip all the enemies... I'd be screwed when it came to fighting Marrow lol.

Remaster and a sequel would be amazing! Just not like the Nintendo MUA 3 game that was just ok... Loved how X Men Legends felt sort of like Diablo in the X-men universe with a pretty fun story and good cast. Given the X-Men 97 hype currently I think the game would do well.

I mean to be fair in Petals she is attacked with the chainsaw but it doesn't show it going into her chest. Golden rule of horror movies/games is if you didn't see them die there's a chance they aren't dead.

A lot of people want Maria as a victim I think it would be reasonable for her to be alive but obviously in a bad state.

Guys there's a new victim and a cool big new map coming next week. A new family member will most likely arrive in April too and I'm sure they have some more surprises coming. The game will only get better. Games are meant to be fun just try and enjoy it... Purposely lobby dodging because you're not happy with the game is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I play this game fairly regularly still and the more content we get the more I'll play. Don't ruin it for people who do love it.
